The laptop is solid and well constructive, it is possible to open the lid with one hand. The usage of the device is really good, I don't see any freeze on daily tasks. I use it to connect to my VM and surf on internet without issues (Social networks, videos, music). I think the ports on this device are good, 1 HDMI, 2 USB C, 1 USB A and a headphone jack. Battery life it is good, I don't use it on battery more than 4 hours without problem, most of the time is connected to a docking station. Display is OLED 60 hz refresh, it looks great, the form factor is 16:10 and I added a magnetic privacy screen than help to keep your work out of other eyes. Keyboard and mouse pad are really comfortable to use, the only bad thing is the full keyboard plate going down when you are typing, maybe something to improve on next model or revision of this laptop. Software made by Asus, the laptop came with the utility My Asus, this suite gives you some configurations to protect your device, like drives and firmware updates, some helpful settings to keep your battery on good shape, like only charging up to 80% and also the possibility to override this setting and charge to full load for a special occasion. Also, it has the possibility to make some changes to protect the oled display and prevent to burn pixels, like refresh pixel, dark mode on the background windows and only keep brilliant the current window, auto hide the taskbar. 2 things than I'm missing from my Dell laptop is the possibility to auto turn on when you plug in to the docking station or the option to turn on when you open the lid. I already check My Asus app and BIOS settings without find it. I wish than ASUS or other vendor creates cover like the one for Apple laptops to prevent your device and keep your fingerprints out of the cover (Yes, the color is really nice but it is easy to catch fingerprints on it). I will check the IA settings on this new processor but as I read on reviews it is still behind from Apple Silicon chips but it is a really good start.

I originally purchased the i5, 8 gig model of this model and was with that, so I sold it and upgraded to the Intel Core Ultra 7 - Intel Evo Edition - 16GB Memory - 1TB version when it went on sale for $700. After installing Linux on it, it is now my daily driver for work plus, in my opinion, a much better Macbook alternative with good build quality and premium features for much less than the competition. It has a beautiful screen, a great typing experience and a long battery life. To compare with a similar M3 Macbook in specs, it would cost $1500 before taxes. A M3 is only slightly better according to NanoReivew CPU matrix: NanoReview Final ScoreGeneric CPU rating Core Ultra 7 155H. 60 Apple M3 66 You definitely pay a premium for 1TB SSD & 16 gigs with the MacBook Air. In my user-case, all the app/programs I use for Linux are free compared to macOS where I would have to pay, so I'm extremely happy with this laptop.

No laptop is perfect, but if you search for one that most completely matches your needs, you are likely to be pleased. I am greatly pleased with this Asus. At its price point, I have seen this model referred to as “midrange”. Using pricing as a measure, I can somewhat agree that the description is apt, but this model scores 100 per cent on meeting all my personal needs at a very reasonable price. It is light. At 2.82 pounds, it is gorgeous in its Jasper Gray metal case and sports a beautiful 14-inch touchscreen OLED panel. It does not have 2.8K resolution, but for office work the color accurate 400 nit (500 nits with HDR enabled) screen with 1920 X 1200 resolution is just fine for me and should increase battery life for the snappy Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor. This model sports a hefty 75-watt hour battery. Battery life is more important to me than extended resolution. If you must have 2.8K, there is another Asus model sold by Best Buy that meets that spec, albeit for a higher price. If you are torn on this issue, simply visit your local Best Buy and compare the screens. I could not be happier with mine. For office work and media consumption, it is perfect. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR5 RAM and a1TB Gen 4 SSD further complement this Evo Edition package, and ports are plentiful. There is a single 3.2 USB-A port on the left side, and two USB-C ports on the right. Each USB-C port can pass video and serve as a charging connection, and they are both Thunderbolt 4 speced. There is also an HDMI port on the right as well as a headphone jack. If you need an SD card slot or ethernet, you’ll need a dongle. On a thin laptop like this one, there is simply not enough physical space to supply every possible physical port. The lighted keyboard is comfortable, and the keys are well spaced with enough travel to make typing a pleasure. The webcam is 1080p and produces a natural, detailed picture. The camera is infrared and works with Windows Hello for hands- free login. There is no fingerprint sensor. The Intel Core Ultra 7 processor literally tears through office work and web browsing. It is also more than adequate for light video editing and should easily handle your photo editing chores. I am not a gamer, so you will need to look to other reviewers for their opinions on gaming. I do not think this laptop is aimed at hard core gamers. Neither heat nor fan noise has plagued me during my testing of this model. You should expect exemplary battery life, along with efficient performance. I can easily get a full day of battery life with my office productivity chores. I love this Asus. Highly recommended.

Elegant Display with Superior Battery Life

OVERALL ASSESSMENT: After both my wife and I used this ASUS Q425M for 5-days, we are both blown away by this laptop, and totally in awe at how much technology can be contained in a less than 3-pound device. The 14” touch-screen OLED display performed flawlessly paired up with the new 13th generation Intel Ultra-7 EVO CPU with Intel ARC graphics. Although I prefer 32GB of system memory (RAM), the stock 16GB ran our daily tasks just fine without any resource issues. The 1TB of SSD (PCIe 4.0) is another nice touch and can be upgraded/replaced if you require additional storage capabilities. But the "pièce de résistance", is the 75 Watt-Hour battery, that ASUS states will last up to 15 hours, and I’m intended to believe that claim. DISPLAY: Personally, I was never really a fan of touch-screens, I thought most performed poorly, therefore I have always gravitated to a wireless mouse or using the stock track/touch pad. But after using this OLED 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA – 60Hz) touch display, I quickly bonded with the simplicity of use. The up to 500nits (HDR on, 400 HDR off) of display brightness is great for indoor use. And my default setup is HDR off, with brightness set around 70%, and that is more than sufficient for a bright viewing experience. KEYBOARD: Solid keys that do not feel mushy or cheap, have decent tactile feedback, and are back-lit (3 intensity levels plus off). No numeric pad, and I can live without one, that keeps the over laptop footprint small and portable while still having decent sized keys. But it would have been nice if ASUS included their “ASUS NumberPad 2.0" technology embedded into their large touchpad. And I am somewhat surprised that it wasn’t included at this $1k price range. CPU: The “Meteor Lake” AI Enhanced Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 Processor is one snappy CPU that is sufficiently fast enough for most all daily computing tasks. Boots up very quickly and awakes from sleep even faster. No doubt this CPU’s efficiency is a component in the overall extended battery life. No dedicated GPU, so high performance gaming enthusiasts should look elsewhere. MEMORY: 16 Gigabytes of LPDDR5x ram. I get it, these new memory chips are required to be soldered on the motherboard for their higher speed ratings and are not stick/module replacement upgradable. Therefore, if one is looking for, or requires 32GB or more ram, you’ll also need to look elsewhere. BATTERY: I’m still shaking my head in amazement over how long this battery will provide power in this 3-pound laptop. Now I have this setup for non-HDR use, keyboard backlight set to 33%, Display set to 70%, Power Mode = Best Power Efficiency, Battery Saver = Always, with Screen and Sleep set to Windows 11 default of 3 minutes to turn the screen off and sleep for both battery and plugged in. With those settings, Windows show 13-hrs 59-minutes of battery life remaining at 76% after some internet surfing (see picture). Not too shabby at all, and the best battery life I have ever experienced with using numerous laptops over the past 15 years. PORTS: Ok, I will acknowledge there are limited ports here, primarily due to space constraints. Only two USB-C’s (Thunderbolt 4), one USB-A, an HDMI 2.1 output, plus a headphone out jack. Note that one of the USB-C ports is used for charging with the supplied 65-watt charger. That being said, for daily use, the ports are appropriate. If there was one additional port, I could ask for ASUS to squeeze in, it would be a micro-SD card reader. But I can get by without it by using an adapter with the USB-A port. CAMERA: I normally do not see a need to mention a laptop camera during reviews. But because this is an FHD and IR camera, it will support Windows Facial Recognition for logging into your account. Sweet indeed! RATING: The ASUS Q425M 14” QLED Touch laptop earned a solid 5-Stars for its light weight, bold and bright display, fast CPU, and let’s not forget it’s extended battery life capabilities. And if you can catch it on sale, then add another Star… .

I’ve been using the ASUS Zenbook 14 (Intel Core Ultra 7 – Intel Evo Edition) for a few months now, and honestly, I’m super impressed. First off, the OLED touchscreen is absolutely gorgeous. Colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and everything just pops. Whether I'm streaming Netflix or editing photos, the display makes a huge difference. It's also responsive to touch, which is a nice bonus for quick scrolling and zooming. Performance-wise, this thing flies. The Intel Core Ultra 7 chip combined with 16GB of RAM makes multitasking seamless. I’ve had 15+ tabs open, Spotify playing, and some light Photoshop work going on without any lag. The 1TB SSD is super fast and gives me more than enough space for all my work files and media. The build quality is another strong point. The Zenbook feels premium and sturdy, but it’s still lightweight and portable. The Jasper Gray finish is sleek and professional—subtle, but elegant. Battery life has been solid so far. I'm averaging around 8-9 hours with moderate use, and it charges up quickly when needed. A couple of minor downsides: the speakers are decent, but not mind-blowing, and the keyboard takes a bit of getting used to (a little less key travel than I’m used to). But those are small trade-offs given the overall package. If you're looking for a stylish, powerful, and reliable laptop with an amazing display, the Zenbook 14 is a no-brainer. Definitely worth the price.

Whether I'm working on multiple spreadsheets, editing photos, or streaming videos, the ZenBook performs smoothly without any lag. The fast SSD ensures quick boot times and rapid file transfers. The thin bezels give it a modern look and provide an immersive viewing experience. Keyboard and Touchpad: The keyboard is comfortable and responsive, making typing a breeze. Pros: • Slim and Lightweight: It’s incredibly thin and light (about 1.3kg), making it perfect for travel and working on the go. It easily slips into my backpack without adding bulk. • Build Quality: The all-metal chassis feels premium and durable. The design is sleek and modern, with a beautiful matte finish that resists fingerprints. • Display: The 14” Full HD display is crisp and bright with good color accuracy. Bezels are super thin, giving it a clean look. Some models even offer an OLED version, which looks stunning. • Performance: Powered by an Intel Core i5/i7 (or Ryzen 5/7 depending on model), it handles daily tasks, multitasking, and even some light photo editing with ease. No noticeable lag. • Battery Life: This is a standout feature—easily gets 10–12 hours of regular use on a single charge. Great for long workdays or travel. • Keyboard & Trackpad: Typing is comfortable with good key travel. The trackpad is responsive and includes the neat NumberPad feature (a virtual numpad built into the touchpad), which is a clever touch. • Ports: Unlike many other ultrabooks, the ZenBook 14 still includes a good variety of ports—USB-A, USB-C (with charging), HDMI, and a microSD slot. Cons: • Speakers: They’re decent but not mind-blowing. Gets the job done for Zoom calls and light music, but you’ll want headphones for anything immersive. Final Verdict: The ASUS 14 is an excellent choice for students, professionals, and anyone who needs a stylish, powerful, and portable laptop. It offers outstanding value for money, especially compared to pricier competitors like the Dell XPS 13 or MacBook Air. Highly recommended!

I’ve been using the ASUS Zenbook 14 (Intel Core Ultra 7, Intel Evo Edition) for six months now, and I’m genuinely impressed by how well it blends performance, design, and functionality. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Display (10/10) The 14” FHD+ OLED touchscreen is the real star here. Colors are incredibly vivid, blacks are deep, and everything looks sharp and immersive. The 16:10 aspect ratio gives more vertical space, which is great for productivity. Whether I’m editing documents, coding, or streaming videos—this display is a joy to use. Performance (9.5/10) Powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 and built on the Intel Evo platform, the laptop boots quickly, runs cool, and handles multitasking with ease. I’ve run engineering simulations, handled large spreadsheets, and even done light media editing without any lag. The 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD ensure smooth performance and fast access to files. Design & Build (9/10) The Jasper Gray finish gives it a sleek, professional look. It’s thin, lightweight, and easy to carry around—perfect for school, work, or travel. The build feels premium, and the hinge design is solid. The backlit keyboard and large trackpad are very responsive and comfortable for long work sessions. Battery Life (8.5/10) Battery life is solid. I typically get around 8–10 hours of use on a full charge with mixed usage (browser tabs, Excel, Zoom, and YouTube). It charges quickly via USB-C, which is convenient. Audio & Features (8/10) The speakers are clear and loud enough for meetings and casual streaming. The touchscreen is responsive and supports stylus input. The fingerprint sensor and AI webcam features are a nice bonus for security and video calls.

I enjoyed this laptop, it boasts a beautiful design, and the unboxing experience was delightful. The unique laptop lift-up feature in the box was a nice touch, I know I know, but it was nice and unexpected for me. The keyboard is excellent, providing a comfortable and tactile typing experience. The trackpad is smooth and responsive, though it has a diving board design which requires more force to click near the middle and if you’re all the way at the top, no clicks at all, it just doesn't do anything. The chassis is sturdy and well-built, with minimal flex. The entire laptop seems plastic, but I don’t find that a bad thing especially with how sturdy it is and how light it is. The fans became pretty audible during Windows updates during the initial setup, reaching around 50 decibels in normal mode for the fan profile and up to 55-56 decibels in performance mode when I was running my performance testing. During normal use, I didn’t hear the fans at all while on battery. I heard my typing and the volume of the media I was listening to and the sound itself is great! It has no bass really, but it sounds better than any gaming laptop in 2023. This fan noise levels are reasonable in my opinion especially considering around 60 decibels is the volume of a normal conversation. With the media sound being pretty decent as well. The new Asus logo and boot-up animation add a touch of style and personality to the laptop. I know that’s a silly thing to notice, but with the OLED screen I thought it was nice. The screen is good! It delivers vibrant colors and deep blacks as most OLEDs do and this is no exception. The 1080p resolution may not be ideal for some people and I had some text clarity issues at first, but the text clarity was a non-issue after running the Windows ClearType utility. Not sure if it’s WOLED causing this or the 1080p resolution, but again, ClearType fixes it... or makes it less distracting. The touchscreen was a pleasant surprise, and the glossy finish adds a premium look. Unfortunately the glossy finish does make the touchscreen pretty gross after a bit. Easy to wipe down with a microfiber cloth. The laptop performs well for light gaming, handling most games smoothly at low settings and 1080p. I did have to drop it to 800p for some games and for others I was able to get to Medium settings without too many problems. Control performs particularly well in my testing and was around 60 FPS with medium settings at 1080p. I was able to play Call of Duty MW3 at 60 as well, and Starfield I targeted 30 and was able to achieve that. In terms of battery life, the laptop provides approximately three days of mixed use, including work, web browsing, and entertainment. This wasn’t an exact science though since I messed up and added it to my docking station at work for awhile without thinking about it and completing a few tasks. That said, I had no battery anxiety using it. If Windows estimates are to be believed it said I had around 8 hours of use on a full charge. Charging is relatively quick but not exceptional. Pretty typical there at 65 watts. Overall, the laptop is an excellent choice for users seeking a well-rounded and capable machine. I think it’s a great device!

Excellent speed and battery. Screen display also a plus. Its light weight makes it an excellent traveling laptop. The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating was the keyboard is very small. Extremely difficult to properly type. Other than that I found it to be an excellent computer.

I have had this laptop now for almost a year and I couldnt be any happier with it. I just needed something to do everyday things, and this fit the bill. Its lightweight, and the perfect "lap" size. The battery lasts all day and I really like that I can set it so that when the charging cable is in it will stop charging at 80% which protects the life of the battery. Its just as easy to tell it to charge to 100% as well. The touch screen works perfectly. Its fast, with plenty of processing power and storage space. The touch pad is a decent size as well. The keyboard keys have a nice soft touch.

I would recommend this to a friend
