Nice features but lacks in sound!

Bought it for the features such as large easy to read buttons and speaker phone. When a call is received the sound has background static noise that makes me switch to a cordless phone from a different room.

At times, it goes blank. By moving the phone I can get it to turn on. I have new batteries and have checked the door to the batteries. No luck.

I then thought, silly me, that the screen would light when a call came in, it doesn't! It's a phone with a speaker capability! Not impressed at all! If I had to do it again, I wouldn't!!
