I really enjoyed this Beowulf series. It was made with care, excellent acting and directing by many people. The shows are tied together very well by many different writers and directors. There are about 16 episodes which follow Beowulf in his return to Shieldsland (home). There is love, fighting, political family and clan intrigue, and even CGI creatures such as sandworms! All is done with care and at a highly professional level. It was a pleasure to watch this series. I recommend this Beowulf series to everyone.

Interesting retell of the classic Old English epic. The CGI is very well done, making the mythical beasts seem authentic. The story line is an interesting mystery, tying in with minor subplots involving interactions between characters, and occasional flashbacks.

The battle between good and evil forever is in a struggle. This is going to be pull on the two sides in your mind . You decide which is the greater and who should win. This 2 disc set is long but if you hang in there the end will surprise you.

The story is a bit played out for the time period, but they did a good job with the look and feel of the show. For the price it's an easy decision to buy this, $6 for the season on br? get it, but don't expect gold, just silver

this is a British made TV show that sadly only lasted one season. although not really accurate historically it's great fun. picture quality is great and the sound is good as well. well worth the cheap price. sword and sorcery, monsters and heroes abound. if you like fantasy type stuff then this is for you.

If you like the Beowulf story you will love this made for TV version.It does not have the beautiful Angelina Jolie in it but it was pleasantly surprising.It was definitely better than I expected.

This was a short lived series that seems to copy some of GOT especially the intro. Overall the characters are interesting as is the story. It even ends pretty well as a series.

This is not the traditional Beowulf story and sometimes a bit slow but the especial effects and part of the action are good. I like this viking type of movies....slow but nice.

This TV series was in a bad TV series I just wish it lasted more than one season overall was a good season has some good action good plot some twist well liked

This is a short series on two disc's. It has a pretty good plot and not bad special effect's. If there was a sequel to it I would buy it too.

Concept was good but...secondary acting was brutal to say the least!!!! The CGI was decent for a t,v, show and really it was fun to watch.

nice action from this show. If you can remember reading this poem from back in high school, well you can forget what you read.

I bought the DVD thinking it was a regular movie but it turned out to be a series that my wife and really enjoyed.

good series for the game of thrones fan has a lot of good action scenes and well done editing and directing

This series had it's high points to be sure; the VFX were outstanding for a television series as was the music. All in all my main criticism comes down to the story line straying so far from the original poem. For my own part, I should have been expecting it had I read the sub title. Once I got past that part I was able to enjoy this one season bargain bin find.

Good show, great price, anyone who likes medieval and fantasy should check it out, highly inderated!!

For fans of the Beowulf literature this series is a fun outing that the whole family could enjoy!

This is a good mini-series. Don't go in expecting a masterpiece and you'll enjoy it for what it is.
