It was a replacement of s a series of printers that seemed unable to capture WP documents. This unit works and has been used heavily. So far the original toner stil;l is working. I am quite happy with this Brother

A little clunky sounding. Ink cartridge did not last long.

Recommend this printer for anyone needing to print text documents. The print cartridge should last for several months. I bought this printer to replace a color printer which needed the ink replaced frequently even with low usage.

I use this product at my real estate company for cutting checks. The first one worked for 2 years before the printing head needed to be replaced. They didn't have on at my best buy so for the price i just replaced the unit.

Printer works well. Limitation is that it goes to sleep after print job. There is no on & off switch. if you want color you would have to purchase a color laser. The print cartridge lasts longer than ink jet printers and is less expensive to replace.

It's a no nonsense printer that just gets it done. I like the sleep mode, which wakes the machine only when in use. It prints in black only but is all I need for printing small format construction prints and quotes.

I love bother Printers this one is no different. Not a lot if thrills as it is entry level. But it just works. Use over wifi and windows 10. One small con is the lights seem to dim a bit when the printer fires up.

The capabilities of this printer are well rounded. Opportunity to save money on ink vs quantity of prints. Wireless capabilities for printing. 4 stars because we had to reinstall the software once after an outage and had trouble getting wifi setup

Comes out of the box, relatively easy to set up. The "replace starter-toner cartridge" message came on within a few days of relatively light printing, and still comes up showing the cartridge needs replacing despite still printing quite nicely.

I dont know much about printers, but this one is everything I could want. Have printed close to 50 pages on starter toner and its still going strong. I would highly recommend. Bluetooth was a breeze to set up.

unless you have a genius wife like mine, do not try to connect to wireless network while drinking wine

I like the printer. Quibbles are the display does not light up so it's hard to read or tell if the printer is on or off. Set up was difficult and haven't figured out WIFI yet. It might be me and my system, but the directions aren't very good.

We had an Epson printer that worked great but then died on us and we needed something quick. Read a few reviews about this product, purchased it about 3 months ago and it is still going strong. Great value buy.

I don't know what other people's needs are but I never have enough black ink for documents, sheet music, etc. this is PERFECT! Ink doesn't dry out. Syncs up to my Mac every time I turn it on. Just brilliant!!!

I purchased this printer because I rarely have a need to print in color and the ink cartridges used in other printers are expensive and dry out if you don't use them regularly. I am very satisfied thus far.

It works great, does it job. Only problem I had with it is that every time it goes to sleep and can not get it out of sleep. I always have to power it off and power it back on.

The price was modest. I did not expect it to perform like a more expensive laser printer and it does not. But, the printing is crisp and easily readable. For the price, this is a good printer.

Had a problem with the printer going into deep sleep. Called Brother support line, they had me change settings on my computer to the IP address on the printer, problem solved!!!!. Their support staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Prints fast and clear. The best feature is how fast it will print. I print double sided a lot and it never has a problem. I also use 4x6 index cards to make flash cards and it prints on them perfectly.

This printer works great. My wife needs a printer when doing work at home and this works perfectly. Also the apple air print feature is a great plus. i can know print easily from my iphone
