The grove in the middle allows it to press on each side of the spine to get that adjustment better. I have really decreased the number of times that I am at my chiropractors office.

I use it up against a wall rather than laying down with it. Small size so easy to store as well and doesn't take up all the room of a full size foam roller.

This is great for bringing to work for work on your neck or to put between your back and chair to correct your posture. Great investment, would highly recommend.
