Needed to find a remote car starter for my daughter as a Christmas present so she could warm up the car prior to bringing her two young children to school. Knew nothing about car starters. Best Buy employees to the rescue. they explained the product, brought me into the installation center to speak to the installers and I made the purchase. Turned out to be exactly as they has described. My daughter is 100% satisfied.

I purchased this for my daughter as both a safety feature and a way for her to warm the car up before she enters (she has issues with her hands in the cold). It took a few times to get the hang of not having to restart the car upon entering and shifting into drive, but that has disappeared with routine. She loves it and it uses it daily.

The install went well and was pretty much on schedule. I am not a fan of the giant antenna that is located on my windshield, but I know why its there. My biggest issue is the range. It has really poor range. It will not always start if my driveway from inside of my house. I have been less than 50ft away with a clear line of site and it will not start. There are no technical issues with the car itself or the starter, but the range does is pretty horrible.

This works great for what I need it for. I did not purchase additional accessories, just the base remote start. There is a range limit on communication, but my office is close to where I park, so this is good for me! I will probably purchase the 2 way communication fob eventually. Once my car didn't start and I thought it had. So now I just double check out my office window to be sure. But for now, i am good.

like the range on the remote, simple design but easy to use, like the fact that manufacturers now have bypass programs so you don't need to have chipped key inside with remote starter module, (chip key for push start are expensive) only con is that when the remote start is active the vehicles hazard lights flash instead of staying on, brings alot of attention to the vehicle. Don't know if is just my Nissan Rogue or if it applies to other vehicles.

You wouldn't think something like a remote start could be such a big deal, but it truly is. Would anticipate even during the summer months they will be equally grateful for their remote starts.
