Not sure if geek squad did a good job in placing it it’s just the driver. Still running slow
The SATA Drive Enclosure does not have any impact on your installed drive's speeds, however I suggest running a benchmark test with your installed drives to see if they are running up to par with its specified speeds. A popular software to test with would be CrystalDiskMark. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the SATA Enclosure itself, please feel free to contact us - we'd be happy to help: support.corsair.com

Didn't work in my MacPro

I purchased this to use with a new SSD I bought from BB at the same time. I should have done a bit more research as this enclosure does not work/fit in a Mac Pro (cMP). The leading edge interferes with the sled being mounted in the Mac. I'll keep it and use it for a windows machine one day.
Beyond that I found the mounting mechanism to be challenging to get the screws into when mounting the drive.

Good idea with bad engineering

If you are getting to go in a all-in-one or any other device that requires precision, the power/sata connector does not line up the same way an actual hard drive. If you are using it for a standard desktop then it will work. One side the crews holes are not easy to install unless your tool has s magnet
This enclosure would work best in a standard desktop computer case. If you have any further questions about the drive enclosure, please feel free to contact our support team: support.corsair.com

Not enough Options to mount ssd inside laptop also takes up a lot of space
This would indeed not be the best option for ssd mounting inside a laptop. Please contact us if you run into a functionality issue: support.corsair.com

Geek squad needs improvement. I was told this item was what I needed for my SSD and as explained to the person it was not large enough to fit in my computer I had purchased there. He insisted and I had to return to return the item and get my money back. It is a shame today's young people want to intimidate the customer whom pays their salary and still create problems instead of solutions! Perhaps it's bad management hiring incapable or unqualified staff?????
Sorry to hear you experienced that with our product being part of this. If you need help directly through us, please feel free to reach out to us directly: support.corsair.com

Good thing Divers do not need to be changed much. The lower drive is hard to screw in without a screw driver with a magnetic head.
