Ok let’s start of saying this is a HANDS DOWN 5 star!!
When I was a kid like, around 13 years old I remember just touching this keyboard one day at BestBuy and man, I fell in love on sight! I remember staying there typing on it for an awhile and then parents said to me, “Jake come on boy! It’s time to go.” And ever sense then I knew that would be my Dream keyboard. Now that I have it that I’m older :)
I’ve never had a keyboard that so satisfying to use everyday! It’s so bulky and ferm, it can be quiet or loud depending on how you use it, and that’s a good thing for gamers and regular use. To rap this review up I would recommend to anybody I know this keyboard! Great gift too! Bye now! Jacob M.

The keyboard overall works very well and is exceptional in it’s quality. The keys can be sensitive, making it input multiple times. But that can be easily resolved with changes in the software. Other than that, the keyboard is very responsive and is satisfactory.

Amazing mechanical keyboard, sounds good, feels good. Solid for gaming corsair really never fails. Also the volume knob is nice if you also dabble in music or video production.

After a year of intense gaming, the CORSAIR K70 CORE RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Gray still performs like new. Its durable mechanical switches deliver precise, tactile feedback, while the customizable RGB lighting adds flair. The sleek gray design and sturdy build make it a reliable choice for long gaming sessions. Highly recommended!

This keyboard's mechanical keys feel wonderful and the spacing of the keys is great. The only issue is the volume knob. I personally enjoy it but I occasionally catch something on it.

CORSAIR K70 CORE, my gaming powerhouse. Tough build, Cherry MX magic, and RGB vibes – a gamer's dream. Macros missing, but it's my reliable sidekick for epic gaming quests.

The CORSAIR K70 CORE RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard has exceeded all my expectations. The tactile feedback from the keys makes typing both satisfying and precise, enhancing my gaming and typing efficiency. The build quality is superior, and it feels robust enough to handle intense use. The RGB lighting is not only a visual treat but also highly customizable, adding a personalized touch to my setup. Its ease of use is commendable; it was truly plug-and-play with no fuss. For the quality and features it offers, the value is simply excellent. It's a purchase I would recommend to any serious gamer or frequent typist without hesitation.

Awesome keyboard. Well built and the keys have a really nice sound. I am not a huge fan of the red switches but that’s just a personal preference, I know most people love them.

I got this as a replacement for a Razer mechanical keyboard that had a couple of keys go bad. I use this largely for typing...Im a typing nerd and the "clicky" keyboards are my go to since i learned on an actual typewriter (dating myself here), so I'm used to, and lrefer, the "feedback". This keyboard is light (much lighter than the Razer it replaced) and has that sufficient mechanical sound that helps me type faster. Worth the price for my wpecific use case and preference, IMO.

The Corsair K70 Core confused me. The Core has a pretty standard layout and seems to be made of durable construction. The black anodized brushed aluminum chassis gives it a professional and elegant look, but the key caps are a combination of black and gray, making it look like it doesn't know what it wants to be. It has an odd tall, rotary dial for volume adjustment that looks completely out of place. In fact, I'm not sure what role the K70 Core plays in Corsair's keyboard line. It's one -- I'm not entirely sure exactly -- of about 50 keyboards offered by Corsair that is dubbed a “K70". I went to Corsair's website to get some more information on the K70 Core and typed "K70 Core" in the search and it brought up six pages of results, and the Core was not listed on the first page, which contained 11 other iterations of the K70 keyboard. In fact, I couldn't find it on any of the remaining five pages. I did finally find the page with a Google Search of Corsair’s website, but it was listed with an additional (CN) designation in its model name. Not sure what that means.
Selecting “Overview” takes you to product photos and the key points are written in a language I’m not familiar with (see phots) even though it’s Corsair’s English language site. “Tech Specs” were in English, but only listed a couple of interesting things. I later found what the “(CN)” designation means -- a Chinese keyboard layout. This explains the foreign language in the “Overview” section, so apparently they’ve not yet bothered posting the product info for the English version. Anyway, enough about that… let’s get to the keyboard itself.
The keyboard uses Corsair’s own RED switches. I despise these switches. They feel a lot more like membrane keys than mechanical switches. There’s no “click” when they engage, nor is there much feeling or feedback. Key engagement is inconsistent at best. In general, the keys are sensitive and engagement point is high. But sometimes keys aren’t quite so sensitive, and the key needs to move a bit during the press before engaging. As I write this, pressing the “d” and the comma key results in two or three characters being placed on the page almost every time, though it’s not just limited to those keys. I happens across all the keys, but to a much lesser degree. I am constantly having to backspace to correct multiple characters being placed during a key press. I’ve used cheap Chinese membrane keyboards that type with more precision.
The K70 Core is compatible with the Corsair iCUE software, which allows you to customize various aspects of the keyboard. You can create macros, assign key bindings, adjust the polling rate, manage the onboard profiles, and more. The software is user-friendly and intuitive, if not a little bloated. Users love iCue or hate it, but it does give you a lot of options to fine-tune your keyboard. Unfortunately, I can’t really verify any of that as my iCue install does not detect the keyboard, even though it’s updated to the latest iCue version.
The K70 Core has some additional features that are intended to make it more convenient and versatile. It has media keys available using Fn and the volume dial, and some other things that I really don’t feel worth mentioning.
Overall, I found the Corsair K70 Core a disappointing keyboard that under delivers on performance and aesthetics, though admittedly the last part is purely subjective. It does seem to be sturdy, but it’s highly unlikely I will ever know as at this point it will end up back in the box and sitting on a shelf collecting dust. Had it not been provided to me for review, I would return it for a refund.
