Lets start with the bad. Its heavy so it will start to hurt your head after 30 minutes or so. The mic quality is bad all my friends say i sound like a mcdonalds drive thru. Everytime i join their discord call i ask if theyll be using the mcdonalds app. The sound quality is great, the headset is designed very well (it looks cool) and its wireless so i can walk around my house and still chat with people. If i try to lean over to pick something up the headset falls off my head due to the weight.

Moving from a pair of razer blackshark v2 pros (2021) version. I wanted a new headset that could be a daily set of everyday headphones and a gaming headset. I also wanted something that was noise cancelling. Lastly I wanted to stick to a ecosystem of corsair in which almost everything in my pc build is from corsair. I stumbled upon these. Having done tons of research and hearing mixed feelings on these. I was very skeptical. Putting these on and listening to these, all my skepticisms went away. First of all these things look very premium. You get what you pay for, not your typical looking “gamer” headset but still has some RGB which is tastefully done. Comes with a very nice hardshell carrying case which I will certainly bring with me during traveling. Most of the headset has a aluminum build with some plastic here and there. The volume dials all feel very satisfying to use. The buttons and everything is very responsive and easy find once you get used to them. I did hear some complaints about comfort, me personally I find these very comfortable. I can wear them for hours on my head without any discomfort. Prior to buying these, I went in store to try these out to see how they feel on my head and I found they felt comfortable. If you’re concerned about comfort maybe try to see if you can find these to try on in store. The sound quality in my opinion is amazing. To your average consumer like me, I think you will find these to sound great. The noise cancelling is great. Having owned a pair of beats studio pros, I personally feel that these sound better. I tried a mic testing software and I felt that the microphone was good. My friends had no complaints hearing me speak. ICUE has some quirks , however if you are already in the corsair ecosystem then the software is a non-issue. Make sure you update the firmware as there have been some bugs that have been fixed recently which plaqued these during its initial release. Overall im very very happy I decided to take a shot at these despite some users having issues with these. I have no regrets picking these up. Of course everything is subjective but I think an average consumer/casual gamer will find these to be well worth it.

I haven't written a headset review for a long time. Mainly because none of them have impressed me. But things changed with this headset. The sound quality is utterly outstanding and the microphone is better than most others. Some people complain about the comfort of this headset, but I must say that it is extremely comfy. The earpads aren't super padded, but it's still very comfortable, even with glasses. The problem I have with comfort is the top padding. It does make the top of my head sore after extended periods of time, but it does seem to be going away. Regardless, I have never heard a better gaming headset. I listen to a lot of music on Tidal as well as play video games, and this headset is hands down the best sounding headset I have ever used for music and gaming alike. I can pinpoint where something is in a game, and I can rock my socks off with any music track. Be sure to calibrate SoundID and use Dolby Atmos for the best sound quality. Nothing I have ever tried has come close to this headset with sound quality. I have tried numerous Bluetooth headsets and gaming headsets and this beats all of them. If you can get it on sale, buy it for sure. If it's full price, I feel it's still worth it, but who doesn't like a good deal to sweeten the purchase. At full price, they are still worth it. Every time I use them, I am still blown away by the sound quality. Don't listen to all the Youtubers who gave this thing negative marks for early firmware issues. Everything has been fixed, and it's an amazing experience. Corsair really outdid themselves with this one. Oh and the ANC doesn't hurt my ears, and it's effective enough to be very useful. BUY THEM!

Corsair Virtuoso Max (Not Worth $400)

Feel and Comfort The Corsair Virtuoso Max headphones are impressively comfortable, even over extended wear. The build feels solid and premium, with ample padding in the headband and earcups. The mesh earcups can occasionally feel slightly scratchy, but this isn’t particularly noticeable or bothersome, making it easy to wear the headphones for hours without fatigue or discomfort. Noise Modes The noise cancellation on the Virtuoso Max is decent—good enough to block out low to moderate background noise but not groundbreaking. Transparency mode, on the other hand, leaves room for improvement. It doesn’t seem fully optimized, as the left and right ear seem unbalanced in the review unit tested, with the right ear feeling noticeably stronger. This issue may be unique to some units, but it's worth noting if you rely on transparency mode frequently. Sound Quality The Virtuoso Max delivers impressive sound quality, making it suitable for audiophiles and gamers alike. Out of the box, the sound profile is solid but shines when customized. It has deep, punchy bass, clear mids, and crisp highs, with a fairly wide and open soundstage. This spaciousness can be further adjusted through an equalizer, and using Dolby Atmos, if available, adds an immersive dimension. To fully appreciate these headphones, tuning with an equalizer or using the Dolby Atmos app is highly recommended. App Feature The iCUE app is a major asset with these headphones. It’s intuitive, allowing users to customize the sound profile, adjust features, and explore all that the Virtuoso Max has to offer. The app makes dialing in the sound easy and significantly enhances the listening experience by unlocking more control and optimization options. Microphone Quality The microphone on the Virtuoso Max is remarkably clear, perfect for gaming and calls. However, as detailed in the issues section, the microphone can have some frustrating limitations. Issues For such a premium product, the Virtuoso Max isn’t free of flaws. The detachable boom mic has a disappointing design flaw: once the physical mute button is used, it seems to be permanently stuck in that state. After muting the mic once using the button, I found myself unable to unmute directly from the button. The workaround involved unmuting via the iCUE app, but unfortunately, the mute button stopped functioning after that, making it necessary to rely on the app for muting. This limitation can be highly inconvenient, especially if using the headphones with a system or a full-screen PC game where quickly toggling the mic is crucial. Given the $400 price point, this flaw in the mute function is unexpected and frustrating. Conclusion The Corsair Virtuoso Max headphones offer a premium experience in many respects, from comfort to sound quality. With deep bass, clear mids and highs, and good spatial audio, they deliver an immersive listening experience—especially with the help of the iCUE app or Dolby Atmos tuning. However, the issues with the microphone mute function and the subpar transparency mode hinder what could have been an exceptional product. At this price, such issues should have been caught in quality assurance, as they detract from the overall experience. For those willing to work around these issues, the Virtuoso Max remains a solid choice with a lot to offer. But for a seamless experience, there might be other headphones in this price range worth considering. If you are not too worried about subpar noise modes I would save a few extra bucks and get the Corsair Virtuoso VT.

I've only ever used hyperx revolver headsets before buying this one. I've also never owned a wireless headset before so I figured this higher end headset would be a decent jump from my previous standard headset. So far I'm absolutely loving them. They're a very premium feeling headset and the sound is great within them. For me the game changer has been dual channel wireless connectivity between a wifi connection (I use on my computer) and a Bluetooth connection for another device (my phone) it has been phenomenal for all sorts of aspects of my workflow and life. It is a little pricey, and we'll see how long it lasts at this level of quality (only had it for a month now) but so far I haven't been disappointed at any point. I would recommend buying the warranty just in case as I've seen some say they come out of the box with audio issues and clicking/cracking

Corsair Virtuoso Max — Great Sound, Easy Connectiv

The Corsair Virtuoso Max delivers excellent sound quality with rich audio and clear detail across games, music, and voice chat. Pairing it to the computer is effortless, and the wireless connection stays solid with no drops or hiccups. However, the biggest downside is the long-term durability of the headband. After a while, the headband structure begins to break down, and once it does, the headset loses almost all support and becomes uncomfortable or unusable. Overall, it’s a fantastic-sounding headset with great ease of use, but the headband’s lifespan holds it back from being a long-term dependable choice.

Sound quality is good. I use custom earpads which makes them more comfortable. My only complaint is a bug with the voice feedback. Doesnt seem to work with mine (not sure if it is software or hardware). Im not the only one with this issue either.

Headphones work great. Great sound. Great quality. Easy to switch from console to PC by just plugging in the USB dongle to whichever system I want to use them on. Comfortable for long gaming sessions. Easy to mute mic when you need to. Don't have any complaints so far.

Amazing quality and sound! Love the quick bluetooth connection and how quick it charges. The only con i would say is that after a few hours, the top of my head will start to feel sore and the ear cups are pretty shallow. 4 Stars from me due to lack of top cushion support. I will be keeping it anyway, hopefully some company makes aftermarket cushions. At 250$ its a steal!

These headsets are actually pretty good, The build: the quality of these are by far the best Ive ever seen on any headset, feels nice and sturdy. The battery: the battery lasts me about a month using blutooth on the phone, and almost 2 days of gaming, so tge battery is simply fantastic. The sound, the sound is ok on blutooth, very good on gaming, so if you want to use it for music, its not as loud or have as much base as my ls40 did, sk maybe i got spoiked on that, but the battery on those are weak and build doesnt last, Over all: These headsets tho are super amazing, just meeds to be alittle louder with more base. But id say they are worth it.

Compared to the last headset this is downgrade for comfort like idk how they green lot these for anyone who wants to wear them for long hours head ends up hurting not having the leather ear cups they had before but the sound is a little better but basically the same headset as the last gen of these but at least the battery life lasts for way longer more than a day I feel so that huge improvement but as for comfort horrible don't understand how you drop the ball this hard.... Corsair always does this too they literally make a amazing comfort model then when they upgrade they make it worse and rinse repeat they have the best sound just terrible comfort I wish I could just change out the ear cups and they would be 5 stars
