1) I rate small as; (Dell T1700 Mini-Tower (256GBSSD, 1TB7200ATA, w/1GB AMD FirePro Video, RWDVD @ 290W, 120V, approx 2.2A Current Draw Typical, 24" LED Monitor @ 16W typical to 74W max,1.5A Current Draw Typical; Epson WF-4630 inkjet @ 7.5W Idle - 20W Copying approx .4-.8A Current Draw. ESTIMATED TOTAL Watts = Approx 371W. 2) This unit is RATED for a MAX Load of 450Watts, so in a power outage condition you should be able to save and close Work Files, Game, whatever and shutdown - just don't lolly-gag around - you probably have 3-5 minutes. 3) Nice thing about this UPS unit, which is more commonly available than 10 years ago...CyberPower includes a auto-shutdown software product with it and a USB cable to connect the UPS to your computer. Install the software, and tell it under what condition you what the system to SAVE FILES and Shutdown, during a power outage the UPS & Software close everything out and does a controlled shutdown of your computer. If you are prone to leaving MS Outlook, Spreadsheets, Adobe PhotoShop, Game files, etc. open adn walking away from your computer...this is a great way to save yourself a lot of pain from damaged and/or corrupted files. That is no to say that I recommend leaving ANY files open EVER to say nothing of UNSAVED. Not sayin', just sayin'. 4) PLUGINS - The Unit provides SURGE SUPRESSION connections for CABLE systems, DSL/Phone systems, and Ethernet network connections; FOR POWER you get EIGHT (8) 3-prong outlets with spacing to handle a couple of wide block accessory power packs. 5) Cypber Power also provides an equipment guarantee should a piece of equipment get damaged during a storm/outage (see Cyber Power documentation in package for details). I have collect on these guarantees from another manufacturer. You have to do a little documentation, but it is not hard to do, you toast a $800.00 or $1800.00 computer, or a $150-$400.00 monitor, they will replace it. These people are designing (as in engineering) and building devices to protect YOUR computer equipment from power damage. They believe in what they are doing and are willing to put their reputation on the line. If their device fails and you are taking a loss, they look bad, but they are willing to standby the buying public and do their best to make it right with their guarantee...and these companies do. KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS. And REGISTER YOUR PRODUCTS. It is hard to get much more runtime from a UPS Backup system at this price. Let's just say I have "absorbed alot of voltage" over 44 years as a computer systems/network engineer... I GIVE CYBERPOWER 3 THUMBS UP FOR THIS ONE :-)

The battery backup takes up little space and has proven to do what it claimed to do. We've had two brown outs since connecting the computer to it and had no interruption in the computer service.

It's compact and has enough power to keep me going for about a half hour after power loss. This is adequate for my needs. It also mounts easily under the computer desktop.

This product is super easy to set up and is much smaller than our previous back up power supply, yet has more features. So far, we love it!

The unit has 4 plug-ins for battery back up and surge protection and 4 for surge protection only. It's OK for moderate power requirements only. I plugged in my over-clocked fluid cooled computer and during a demanding application, the unit sounded an alarm and cut the power. Its directions also advise against using it with laser printers because of power demand. I am now only using it with peripheral devices, but not the computer. It wasn't what I needed or expected.

I have a closed circuit camera system for my cabin up North in Wisconsin and like to see what's going on when I'm not there. The problem I had was whenever a blip in the power happened, my router/modem would reset and change the external IP address of the router/modem. I then couldn't get to my cameras. This battery backup resolved that issue by stopping the very short outages the router/modem was taking. Now the IP address stays the same and I can get to my cameras. Perfect solution for my problem. Well worth the money.

This is our second backup battery with the previous one lasting about 16 years. Great protection for our computers and expensive television.

Great for keeping your equipment running in case of a short power outage AND good protection for voltage spikes.

Needed a battery back to protect my home router and cable modem. Been getting occasional power outage in my area and even though it does not last very long its very annoying especially if you're a person like me who is addicted to the iPad. Now I can continue doing whatever I'm doing for hours even if the power goes out.

Works as advertised to provide full power backup and surge protection to pc. We've had a couple of power outages since installation and the pc ran smoothly without even rebooting

I have used these type of units since 2001. living in central Florida, the lightning capital of North America, I have never lost any equipment due to lightning. I have lost a TV that didn't have surge protection.

This unit replaces a previous unit that finally gave it up. We have lots of power surges where our office is located. The last unit was purchased in 2011. The Best Buy associate actually found this model in the back room for me and it was even on sale.

We needed to replace our old battery backup system, this one was not only a bit less expensive, it has more features. The added plugins are just what we needed to clean up the area around my desk.

I used this as a short term backup for a customer who wanted security lighting that would work if someone killed the power at her main service. Using LED security lights it will be able to still turn the lights on with a power outage.

I like the fact that there is one side of power outlets for larger items such as the computer, with the other side having outlets for smaller items. The best feature is the fact that the power strip is also a battery backup!

Purchased this for surge protection and for back-up power. We recently lost power for 5 hours and this unit provided about 80 minutes of back- up power to a select few items. More than enough time to finish up work on the PC and save as well as keeping the cable modem & Wi-fi running for the balance of the ~ 80 min's. There is an audible alarm that speeds up when it is running out of back-up power which is helpful.

Set up was quick and easy, charged up quickly. Now quietly doing it's job. have supporting wireless router and cable modem, security of operation even in power outages is great. Full time clean power is nice to have.

This battery backup works without all the beeping that I hear from APC units I have owned and replaced in the past. I have several now and have had no issues since plugging them in.
