    Not as easy as Philips Hue but cheaper

    This works fine if you have the patience to set it up. If you are tech savvy you will see it takes some patience because the app is not as easy as it looks. If you are old and think you may need assistance, I feel sorry for you because this is not easy to set up. Spend the extra money and go with Philips because their products are idiot proof.

    I returned this item after just having it for 2 days. The setup was just as easy as their other devices. But I had 3 issues with this device; 1. It gives you the option to have your lights be set to a certain color and brightness depending on the time of day and still do the motion sensing but mine would change colors or brightness ever. This brings me to my second issue 2. Having this device changed my light settings to the yellowest color and the brightest. I hate bright lights especially in the morning but no matter how much I changed the settings, made sure this thing was on by pushing the side button when I changed my settings, nothing worked. I always had the ugly bright yellow lights. And lastly 3. I tried to reset the sensor to try doing everything all over again. The reset process was simple but it would never connect to my ce by ge account again. The app would show that it found the sensor but whenever I tried to connect it, it just wouldn't. The only good thing about this device is that it did turn my lights on when it senses motion and turned them off when no motion was detected. I was so excited to get this thing for my bathroom lights but maybe it needs some updates to resolve these issues.

    Better than Philips hue

    For everyone who has trouble setting up their lightbulbs and accessories, do not use your phone. Download the app on your iPad.Once you start to add them through the app on your iPad only then will it work like butter.

    This is a good sensor. It could be better, I have the sensitivity set to high, but the sensor only catches movement some of the time. Hardware installation and software configuration was really easy.

    So far so good. I have it setup to turn on under cabinet lights in the kitchen. Works in tandem with the ge cync outlets.

    This device is great. It works weel with the C by GE smart light switches. Very easy to install. I use it in my basement because my kids are always leaving the lights on. This is all motion activated and goes on and off by its self.

    I had really high hopes for this device. The concept is great, but not throughout all the way. I love that I can use this for my children's night lamps, hallway lights and for my light when getting up at night to see the baby. My issues with the device are the following. 1. Any adjustments that needs to be done to the motion sensor, requires to wake up the device manually by pressing the sync button for at least 5 seconds on the device. 2. The light sensor is horrible. I have a bright light right in front of it, but it still turns on another lights when it detects motion. It's virtually useless regardless of the settings (Any, Average, bright light).

    Utter defective garbage. First, it took two hours of troubleshooting to set up (with no help from GE; finally figured it out myself). Then, even after that, the feature by which it's supposed to turn off a linked light when there's no longer motion detected simply doesn't work. Nor does it cooperate with Google home. Exasperating. GE needs to remove itself from this marketplace.

      We are sorry you had this experience with our motion sensor. Unfortunately our wire free motion sensor is not supported with Google Home. The motion sensor times out after 60 seconds when editing the timeout settings in the app to preserve battery. It will need to be woken up by pressing the side button to adjust the settings and ensure that the sensor and light are added into the same room in the app. I hope you were at least able to get in contact with our support desk to get your devices working properly.     For me, it was easy to work because I got it program in the bathroom group to turn on my four lights. So I'm using the app to make sure it set how long I'm going to be in the bathroom and I can turn it off light from my phone.

    Works great! It hides between my spindles on my steps and is set to turn on the hall light for 10 seconds. I have a landing and it catches movement on the way up and down.

    Did exactly what I wanted on terms of turning my CByGE lights on with motion. Originally had them hooked up to Google Home but this is much easier.
