Bought this laptop for my 15 year old mostly for school work and photos/music. He loves the touchscreen and it is very responsive. He had some difficulty setting up the Mic and voice command features but that did not deter him. Good graphics, vivid screen, lots of speed and memory. Happy with this purchase for sure!

I bought this laptop for my daughter to do her homework. She's 11 years old . At the time it was the best one out there for the price that I was willing to spend,. The cons are battery life, is about 4 hours and it takes time to turn on.once you're on the web,it's fast. The touchscreen works fine. Fits our needs seeing as we're not computer smart, and if you need more battery life this one you can buy a spare battery.not that familiar with Windows 10 but haven't had any problems. It's a great laptop for speed , storage, touchscreen, so a 11 year old can do her homework and the parents can use for web surfing and Netflix.

We purchased this computer to replace a failed laptop. It has the most current processor, tons of memory storage, great battery life and is light to carry. We especially like the back lit keyboard and large screen! Our previous data docs and pictures easily loaded and run with no issues. We had office software on our last computer that we moved as well. It runs office 2007 with no problem. This helped us avoid the subscription office software that come on it. This is a high quality computer that will give us years of service.

I bought this laptop for my wife to replace a 4 yr old Dell laptop, as it was showing its age. I initially purchased a HP m6-w103dx on Black Friday, but after using this a few days, my wife asked me to exchange it. After playing with several machines at the local BB, this is the one that she chose. She has been very satisfied with this laptop! The touch screen works well, as does the track pad. She likes that the keyboard is back lit, and that it is easy to type on. Of course, coming from a 4 y/o machine, this one is much faster. She is already familiar with Windows 10, and enjoys that she is able to log in using Microsoft Hello via use of the Intel Real Sense webcam. The wireless has been working well; she has been getting full bars anywhere in the house.
This laptop is very easy to upgrade. The base cover can be easily removed by removing two screws, providing access to the HDD, memory, and wireless card. There is a You Tube video showing how to access this area (it is for the Inspiron 5558, but the layout is exactly the same), and Dell has a detailed service manual on their website. Took me a few minutes to replace the stock HDD with a Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB SSD, then putting a fresh install of Windows 10 Home onto the new SSD.
She is VERY happy with her new laptop!

In my opinion, Asus has the best computers but I couldn't pass this one up for the price and features after walking around and looking at all the computers that were offered in this price range. It had everything I was looking for plus a few extras like touch screen and back lit keyboard which is so handy I just love that. It looks good (Silver, black and gray) light weight, and was easy to set up. My internet connection works great and the Bluetooth had no problems syncing with my Bose speaker which sounds great playing my cd's and dvd's, which I had to have a disc drive which is hard to find already installed anymore. The movies play well and look good. There's plenty of space, plus my usb flash drive and external hard drive had no problems connecting (I have lots of movies and music). I'm a Windows 7 fan so having Windows 10 is growing on me since a little of 7 and 8 are together, I think I almost like 10 best, it's working a lot better since the few updates. The only thing that I don't like is that it takes a little time for it to wake up from sleep and to turn off but over all I would definitely recommend this basic computer.

This laptop has all the requirements I was looking for. It had a easy setup for someone like me who is not a technology expert. I love the backlit keyboard and ease of use. I was worried about windows 10 because my old desktop was so outdated but the setup explained everything. It also has the Cd drive that is not available with all new laptops. The 15.6 size screen is perfect size.

Great deal for the price. Screen not quite as sharp as the next model up, but for the price you just can't beat it. This laptop is being used as a part-time work laptop, running MS Office, performs good without any problems. It is also being occasionally used with a separate monitor that displays a crisper/sharper image.

My previous laptop malfunctioned which forced me to buy a new laptop fast. I am very pleased with this laptop, it's fast, efficient, and touchscreen! My previous laptop was only 5 months old but ran soooo slow when I switched tasks...so this one was a far better laptop purchase...also very affordable

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 11 year old sister. I am very picky with computers and always search for one that will be reliable in the long run. Overall, I am quite pleased with my purchase as she uses it everyday for homework and of course Skype and other personal reasons. It is very quick and has yet to freeze in any way. The touch on the screen works really well. My only concern was her camera stopped working on Skype for a few days, but I am not sure if this was a Skype issue.

Not a fan of windows 10 but love this laptop! Great performance and look for the price. Delivery date promised changed after I paid so wait was longer than expected but was worth the wait. They had a demo in the store but were sold out for 2 weeks only option to purchase was online.

I like the computer. I've had several Dells and they'v all been good ones. This new laptop has Windows 10, which I can't make heads nor tails of. It's a lot different to 7. I added Word 2016 and it's even more complicated than Windows. Nothing like Word 2010 that I'm used to. I hope that eventually I'll know how it all works. Then, I think the laptop will be great. The problem is with me, not the laptop.

When pressing the button to turn on the computer sometimes it wouldn't turn on. Its a great first computer to do the basics go online, play games, storage, its fast, has a nice smooth texture in the inside, just need to install or buy Microsoft (word, power point...) if using any of those programs. Good experience for those that don't know how to manage windows 10.

Picked this up for $499 right before XMAS. For the specs, (newest gen core i5, 6GB, 1TB), and with it being touch enabled, having a backlight keyboard & built in dvd drive...you can't beat the price!
Would be 5 stars, but it is not a full HD display, its listed as HD, but don't be fooled, better graphics and true HD = 5 stars +!
