Pretty good and stylish laptop (pros & cons) 4.5/5

Pros -nice build, stylish, great speed, not loud/no fan sound, light weight, display nice, facial recognition, not bulky/good size not too big not too small, slim, good for professional work setting or even casual use. Nice lit keyboard with light adjustment. Eye catching amongst the rest on display at best buy. Both kinds of USB ports, HDMI, SD card reader (you can see on Best Buy images) Cons -nothing really, I can see why very few of these reviews might have an issue with the trackpad/mousepad, maybe that it could be a little better (like a smoother response) but honestly I really don't think it's a sufficient enough reason to not buy the laptop because I'd still give it 4.5/5 stars.

I bought this laptop for my first year of college and it’s still running great!! The touchscreen is fantastic, it’s reasonable priced, and the perfect size for a classroom desk and backpack. The only downside is the battery life. If it’s used throughout the entire day (around 9am-9pm for a college student), you’ll probably have to plug it in. As long as you carry the charger it’s no big deal. Overall, love this product!!

I like the computer. It is lightweight and easy to use. It seems fast (but most computers do when you first buy them) and powerful. We also like the touchscreen and that the computer turns into a "tablet" when folded all the way over. I don't like the low amount of storage (which we can "fix" by plugging in external storage (but... really... who wants to have to carry that around with you all the time for a portable laptop)), and the fact that there are only 2 HDMI ports on the computer (one of which is taken up by the external storage). The other port is a different type, which I do not own any device with that type of port. As far as the storage... I guess I get what I paid for. I guess I can't ask for more if I wasn't willing to pay (outrageous amounts of $$) for. The computer was pretty expensive as it was (for the price, it should have come with Office programs). The power button is also in a somewhat awkward spot, making it easy to inadvertently turn the computer off when you are picking it up. I also wish it had a number keypad.

I was looking for a lap top to replace one. I choose the smaller one for the ease of handling. the i5 is the perfect speed. the performance of the Dell is terrific.

I purchased this laptop for light coding, watching videos, portability, and school work. The 256 GB SSD isn't a large amount of storage but enough for school purposes. The SSD allows the laptop to start up in less than 10 seconds. The processor has a two cores which is decent, through hyper-threading the processor gains an additional 2 threads, for a total of 4 logical processors which is a nice little boost for multitasking. The fan noise is barely there unless you begin to do some highly intensive tasks, and even then it's fairly moderate. The touch screen is a nice addition if you're into that, it's accurate and responsive. The IPS panel means viewing angles aren't bad at all and it gets bright enough for my uses. Colors are also nice and balanced, nothing is over saturated to my eyes and nothing is too dull. When the computer is on an all black screen you may be able to see the light bleeding that this display has, but you don't see it in everyday use, or rather it isn't significant enough to bother the use experience. WiFi card can sometimes be a pain, sometimes it just doesn't want to connect even if the router is not having issues with other devices but this doesn't happen so often to be aggravating. The keyboard is standard, but isn't too mushy and the typing experience isn't bad, the backlight is a plus. The trackpad is also solid, smooth and responds well. The metal chassis is also a plus, feels very premium and industrial by design. The USB C port is allows one to charge the device if you really wish to, or even connect an external display if you don't want to use the HDMI port. The speakers are pretty clear and loud too but don't expect the world. It isn't a powerhouse laptop this isn't the purpose of this product. It works well for day to day tasks such as reading emails, writing papers, watching videos, light coding, skype calls, music, and some light games. It does very well in all of these categories.

The Dell 2 in 1 laptop has for the most part been enjoyable to use. I like the touchscreen and tablet mode. But, I also like using the keyboard for typing things, much easier than using the screen keyboard. I have trouble adapting to Windows 10. And, still haven't figured it out. Some of the tutorials I rec'd via email were helpful. But, I have much to learn. The solid state drive is nice, for quick response. Also, the ability to have several mapping programs open simultaneously without slowing me down is very helpful. I have had a few incidents of screen freeze, and that is frustrating. I was "sold" the Office 365" which was a total waste of money for me. I didn't realize that it was only a subscription and not the full software that I would have forever. I only wanted Microsoft Word, but was told that I had to get it this way. I should've done some research though. .

This laptop is just what I was looking for it's small but bigger than a tablet and light weight so it's easy to carry around. It does everything I need with lightening fast speed. I am very happy with this purchase and the employees were great in helping me understand what I needed and providing me with the perfect product.

In need of a new computer I determined that it needed to be lightweight, have a touch screen, and have 2 USB ports. This Dell Inspiron fits all my requirements and then some. I love being able to fold it back to make a tablet. The 2 USB ports are very handy. And the touch screen makes it very easy and enjoyable to use.

Using this lightweight laptop for business..... love it, even though the screen size is a little small. I was going to exchange it for the next size up, but it works fine for client presentations. Only drawback is no internal DVD/CD player. Battery life so far is great, and the solid state drive is an absolute necessity for my work!

I bought this laptop for my student's online program. It is small, has light weight and very fast, thanks to solid-state hard drive. I don't play games, so cannot say about gaming. Touch screen is great, I don't use mouse for my work.

Love the size of this 2-in-1 laptop. It's lightweight and very portable. The speed and storage capacity seem more than adequate for my needs. Because of the size, there is no number keypad but so far, I haven't missed that.

I am a full time nursing student and a tutor. I cant say enough great things about this laptop. The touchscreen is so nice if you havent had a laptop like this before, and it works very quickly jumping between apps. It's user friendly and super light weight. It's my first Dell computer and I'm not sorry I made this investment!

was looking for a windows based laptop that would not get as hot as my 2011 Toshiba and would respond with faster speeds and that would be able to be used as a tablet also. Also did not want to pay for the least expensive apple product which was significantly more costly. I am pleased with the Dell Inspiron 2 in 1 13.1 " performance so far. Getting used to windows 10 still like windows 7 better but what is, is. I was using Microsoft works word processor and spread sheets for many years which is no longer available but have been able to open my works documents with office with some adaptation. All in all the Inspiron is great, it's the windows programs that take getting used to. The 8gb memory 256 gb hard drive should be sufficient for my use, time will tell. Also chose this model since it had multiple USB ports as I store most of my important docs on USB drives. Had to use a USB port to set up my older hp printer which is wireless but needed to use a printer cable for the initial setup. I don't find that I use the touch screen much, even though I use and iPad all the time. I prefer the keyboard when using the laptop but wanted the option and my adapt in the future. No cd/DVD drive but I still have my 2011 Toshiba and 2004 HP laptops which I can use for these discs. Old dog, learning new tricks, wanting to hold onto the past!

I hate to admit it, but I am still pretty old school when it comes to computers. I was pretty bummed to learn that a laptop with a disc drive was pretty much obsolete (yes, it's been that long since the last laptop purchase). The associate that I spoke with at my local Best Buy spent a lot of time with me, asking questions to help me figure out what would work best for my computer use. And I am happy to say that she could not have done better! I miss having an internal disc drive but am getting used to downloads and "the cloud". I love how lightweight this laptop is. And having a touch screen is pretty cool. I also love the size of this laptop. It's way more portable than the 17" screen monster that it replaced (which I loved, but man was it heavy!!). All in all, I am extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend this model to anyone.
