Just needed a laptop for word processing and a few other basic functions. Was surprised at the speed of this older refurbished machine. But the internal solid state drive and the 8 GB of RAM probably helped. The only disappointment was that it didn't have the latest updates of Windows 10, and during the process of rebooting after a large update it froze with an error code that ended up telling Geek Sqad that the operating system had to be completely reinstalled, which they did free of charge.

The S key is finnicky, the grips are missing on the bottom, the touchpad is virtually non-functional. It came with a Windows OS, but not a genuine one which was very disappointing; there's a "Activate Windows now" watermark. The battery lasts 10 minutes. The display looks awful if there's any glare. Overall, it's functional and meets my needs. I'll be more than happy if I can get 9 months with zero problems. If this was 50 bucks cheaper I'd be ecstatic with the purchase, otherwise it's either satisfactory or below satisfactory dependent on my mood. I'm able to remote into my PC from school, so it was worth the money.

We bought this laptop for our son. The set up was easy and the size of the hard drive is more than he will need.

This computer is very fast and cosmetically was 90% but is ok because is refubrished

This is a great little laptop! 8G Memory, i5 Chip, SSD drive with HDMI port, 1G Ethernet and built in WiFi. I used one of these for work for many years and with the 8G memory and SSD drive this guy boots and runs extremely quick with long 4hr+ battery life

It works great, I use it daily. I wish it had a number pad but that is my fault for not looking. Worth every penny I spent.

Had to replace the charger within the first 24 hours and the motherboard went in the first 30 days. Best Buy customer service and Geek service was terrible. More interested in telling me the "new" to me computer was old and selling me service plans. When I contacted the warranty company, I was impressed. They were responsive, helpful, considerate and friendly. I would purchase another refurbished laptop, not thru Best Buy.

If I could give this product zero stars, I would. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! It should not even be available for purchase. After the 2 week return policy was up my keyboard has quit working, I actually have an extended keyboard plugged into the USB right now to type anything. I set an appointment with Geek Squad was there for 2 hours, for them to tell me they can't help me out and that I need to call Best Buy corporate. I call Best Buy corporate for them to tell me that I have 18 month warranty on this product and to call Dell. I call Dell and they inform me that Best Buy corporate was incorrect on that information, and that this computer is absolete and cannot replace any parts on it. They said they can not help me with a refund or replacement and to call where I purchased it. I called Best Buy corporate again, and explained this headache, frustration, and inconvenience and they said to call the manufacturer and they can't help me?!?! I am now on the phone waiting to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor said to call the manufacturer and get a letter of obsolete and how they are not able to replace part, take receipt to the store and get a refund. About to get on the phone and call Dell back, I have spent over 5 hours of my time to get this problem resolved. I hope for it to be resolved soon. I highly advise you to not purchase this product!!!!!!! It actually shouldn't even be listed on the website, since the parts are not able to replace.

Battery does not hold a charge and the plug in charger does not have the correct amperage, I get a warning every time I plug it in. I would have liked to contact seller but that did not seem to be an option so I am writing a review.

Needed a laptop for traveling, it is working out. Seems to have an overheating issue. Has to be shut off after an hour or so to cool down.

This has been a good purchase for me so far. My only small recommendation would be to revamp the “quick start” sheet a bit. At the very bottom of the last page it states “Charge battery from outlet for 8 hours before first use.” I’m tech savvy just enough to have read through the last page before doing much, so stopped my setup work to do that overnight charge. But it would have been easy to run setup routines and test utilities for an extended period without even noticing the 8 hour charge instruction.

love the speed of a solid state drive. laptop does it all with a great price. very happy I bought.

I couldn't find out what Operating System Architecture is? The product specs say it window 10, but doesn't say weather it is 32 or 64 bit operation system, to minimuze the risk of haveing defected laptop, I speak with best buy tech support team they couldn't tell what operating systems is.Unlike other laptop's this laptop with SKU 5581172 doesn't say what the operating system architecture is.I can say, Ĺ0Best buy quality control team is not great

Great product at a reasonable price. May be refurbished but works perfectly

I thought that this computer is considered "certified "? Everything works except for the headphone connection. Need to bring it back just for that.

The specifications for this laptop indicated 5 hour batter but it hardly lasted an hour. WiFi connection was a challenge. Had to reconfigure my WiFi to get it to take. The computer was bulky and processor was slow.

The buttons near the arrows were not working properly, also outer part of the laptop had clear wear out signs. Probably the previous user dropped it badly.

Great value when you need a newer laptop but can't afford a new one.

What an absolute failure! Do not bother. The laptop arrived with a cheap Chinese branded hard drive that it could not recognize. I attempting to follow the Dell instructions to create a USB bootable drive to update the BIOS, and the BIOS update failed. the laptop was built in 2013 and won't update. It will not recognize the solid state drive. It's been reseated several times and still nothing. This laptop is no bargain. try something else.
