Fantastic monitor. I use 2 of these for working from home with my Lenovo laptop and an Anker USB hub which can extend my display. It also works great with my Dell laptop in a similar configuration. The very small bezels are also a great touch.

Great little monitor. It lasted me a long time. Sold it and go the bigger Dell version of this.

Easy to put together & perfect size. Easy to adjust the screen. I bought two for my home office & my desk is a little over 5 feet in length.

I decided to buy 2 of their open box ones because i just need it to hook up my work laptop. It’s a great buy! both monitors doesn’t have any defects, the colors are great and to me they’re very lightweight. I mounted both to my Vesa mount and it looks perfect.

I needed a second screen to work off of other my laptop and I saw this screen on sale. It was easy to put together and definitely makes working from home a breeze. Definitely worth the money & I’m very happy with this purchase.

First of all, a shout out to the packaging engineers and packaging designers. Unboxing this item is a pleasure - the clear tape that allows removal of the entire contents in one go is appreciated, and all the packing materials remain in original condition should the need for repackaging arise. Included are the monitor itself, power cable and adapter, an HDMI cable and the base. I'm a mechanical design engineer by profession and spend 100% of my work time on computer. While I've got 2 monitors at work to project my laptop to but at home, I had only 1 which is a great monitor from another reputed brand. I've been working from home since March and this monitor was serving well. I didn't think I needed a second monitor until I stumbled upon this one from Dell. I immediately grabbed this to give it a try. It had lived up to my expectations so far. It's as good as my first monitor which has been exceptional so far. As far as the image quality and other features are concerned, this Dell monitor has matched my other monitor. The power is provided by an AC cord, without the bulky and awkward power transformer box that my first monitor came with. The size and resolution were a good match for my work laptop. The thin margin on 3 sides makes working across multiple monitors much easier. I selected this monitor because it has both HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, (it also has VGA, but I'll never use it) has a stand that will rotate to 90 degrees, allows for VESA mounting without blocking inputs, is 24" diagonally with 1980 x 1080 resolution, and small bezels. Time spent from opening the box to having the monitor up and running was under 5 minutes. Well designed packaging and easy to put together - no screwdriver required. The screen bezels are tiny which looks good and helps manage size. Dell did an awesome job of including VESA mounting holes (& hardware) in this one because I know some of their monitors lack this and so does my first monitor. As soon as I received this monitor, I also ordered a dual monitor mount to clear up some clutter from my desk and give it a cleaner look. But because my first monitor doesn't have the VESA mounting capability, I had to order a VESA mount adapter for that but with my Dell monitor, it wasn't an issue and it fitted perfectly on the stand. I didn't have to struggle a bit for my Dell monitor and on the other had, my other monitor did give me some trouble for adjusting the VESA mount adapter. Normally I don't care much about the menus built into the monitor, but these deserve special recognition. The user interface ("OSD" = On Screen Display) is very well organized, full featured, and easy to use. It is translucent. It does lack in-built speakers and webcam. I've never seen a monitor with built-in speakers that sounded good anyways. While it does not matter to me because I only use it for work, it may be a deciding factor for few people. PROS: - It has a phenomenal picture quality. - It looks super sleek and classy as it has no border but for the bottom. - Base is solid with zero wobble (note that the base is a little big). - Controls are on the bottom of the monitor, not the back or side - they are hidden but accessible and menus are intuitive. - Love the tilt and the up/down adjustability. - Whatever all the stats are that denote how smooth the action is and how little choppiness there is - this is wonderful. I do not experience any discernible lag with mouse movement or typing. - Comes with an HDMI cord. CONS: - Lacks built-in speakers (not a big deal for me, might be for others) - Bottom bezel is a tad bit bigger than other three edge bezels (again not a big issue for me as my first monitor is same). This actually make my both monitor complement each other. Overall I am very pleased with this monitor, it is a GREAT VALUE!

Works excellent and can easily hook up with speakers

If you’re in the market for a good computer monitor but don’t want to fork out the coin for anything too fancy, this may be the perfect monitor for you. Don’t expect too many bells and whistles or it to blow you away in comparison to some of the higher end monitors on the market, but it’s a good starter monitor for work, school and even gaming. Starting with the pros, the features I like about the Dell 24” IPS LED Free Sync HD monitor are the slim bezel, dual HDMI feature and clear, colorful and bright HD picture. It is very easy to set up and plug-and-play using the provided HDMI cable. However, in my opinion, the cons, such as no adjustable height, no vertical option, and no built-in speakers, counteract some of the pros. I am using mine as a second monitor for work and would have loved to have the option to rotate the screen vertical to view full length pages without needing an additional mount. I would have thought at this stage in the game, most of these minor features would come standard at least at this price point but do understand perhaps some people, maybe most, might not necessarily need those options in a monitor. Overall, it does the job as advertised and does have a great picture.

The Dell S2421NX has a good picture and modern profile but is definitely in the budget monitor category. Right away I want to point out that this monitor has no speakers, so if you want sound, you'll have to set up separate speakers. Most monitors have very poor sound, but this one has no sound. The look of the monitor is clean and modern. There is a very thin bezel on the top and sides. The buttons are on the underside to keep the clean look. The screen can tilt slightly forward and a bit further backward, but you can't rotate it to be in portrait mode. There are only three connection inputs (not including the power cord): 2 HDMI and one 3.5 mm audio out. The picture is full HD, which is less than 8k and 4k, but still very sharp and impressive. Setup is a breeze and no tools are required to put it together. The monitor is equipped with AMD FreeSync so you can have less tearing due to frame rate changes. That is about the most exotic thing about this monitor. It is otherwise average at best. If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive, no frills monitor with average size, a good picture and no speakers, then this one fits the bill.

This is a great mid-quality monitor. This monitor has the “comfort” eye technology which is great for someone like me with eye issues. I am very happy with my purchase.

Great monitor. Picture quality is great! The thin bezel really looks like I’m just seeing a screen sitting on my desktop and not a huge monitor bezel encasing a screen on my desk top. Easy on the eyes and pictures and text are super clear and easy to read. I also really like the dual HDMI ports. I got a USB C HDMI adapter and can run it on anything now. Hooked it up to my IMAC and Surface laptop easily. The surface defaults at 3000x2000 so the Dell monitor either had a little black on the sides or you can adjust resolution on your laptop to get it to the full screen. Either way it looked good. The mac had no troubles either. Solid monitor for its price point! minus 1 star for not being able to turn it vertical. With todays electronic doc and multiple screen work spaces, a monitor really need to flip vertically in my opinion. If you only plan to use it horizontally 5 stars. For me, it was an oversight on Dell’s part.

I love this Dell Monitor. It’s an upgrade for me from a 20” screen. My old monitor was so old… {How old was it?} …it was so old that it still used a serial port. I had to use a serial to HDMI converter to use it with my current tower. This Dell Monitor was simple to set up and install. I used an HDMI cable (included) to connect to my computer, plugged the monitor into the power, and turned it on. The screen itself is a matte finish. I would not say it is fingerprint proof, as I somehow got something on the screen while attaching the stand that caused streaks. They did not just wipe off as I expected, but they did come off. The resolution is easy on my eyes and my work is easier to see. The unit is large without being too overwhelming for my small desk. If space is a limitation, though, you may want to consider getting a monitor arm. I would recommend to anyone considering getting a new monitor.
