Simple but still need to set up other than the setup works beautifully

Good receiver for the price. Works great in 2.1 mode. Surround mode clarity depends on audio track quality. It do not improve sound in old movies, but really crispy and punchy in new films recorded in full Dolby Atmos.

This receiver Sound is absolutely amazing. It out did all my expectations. Very easy to setup. 5 channel sound is fantastic.

I love this receiver! Plenty of power and it sounds great. The interface is cool but the online music streaming could be better, it's kind of slow.

Purchased this as an upgrade to prior Denon i owned. This is awesome and my wife noticed that its alot louder and better sound quality. I mainly purchased it for the passthrough fory PlayStation 5 and xbox serious X. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a good quality receiver without the large price tag

I'm very pleased with this receiver. My older Pioneer died so I was forced to upgrade. It's great to be able to finally connect my Apple TV 4K through the receiver rather than having to go through the TV / ARC. I also have a Pioneer Elite LX305 in my basement and I would have considered saving some money and going with this in that room as well if this model had been available.

Excellent .... simply excellent! I returned a Onkyo Tx-NR6100 and bought the Denon AVR-S970H instead ONLY because it had a better remote and DAC (32bit vs 24bit with the Onkyo). The sound quality is absolutely amazing!! I would have given this item a 5 star if it wasn't over-priced. However, what that said, I highly recommended this product .... especially for you Sony PS5 people like myself!

Great upgrade from our old onkyo tx nr 515. Sounds great, excellent ports and much nicer remote interface.

It has been a while since I purchased a receiver, but I needed one that included a 4K passthrough. This receiver really impressed me with the on-screen setup features, the integrated smartphone app, the sound quality, and the ability to seamlessly work with my television and my Apple TV. Admittedly, this receiver has more features than I will actually ever use. If you have a big format 4K (or even 8K) television and want great audio to match, this is definitely a worthwhile purchase.

This unit has awesome sound, and the Dolby Atmos works and sounds amazing. My only problem comes with listening to the dialog on movies and shows. The sound quality in that comes from the center channel is flat and a bit muffled at times. I will play with the sound and see if I cant add some some clarity and brightness to it. Otherwise, i am pleased with my purchase.

Good unit, great sound on some older and smaller Klipsh speakers. Volume adjusting is either too fast or too slow depending on button hold down time... tough to find a nice middle adjustment speed.

Love this receiver! Paired it with my def tech towers,center channel and surrounds. The sound is amazing and integrates well with my Firestick.

Great amplifier. I planned on a Yamaha and went with the Denon. No regrets. I've hardwired with a 5.1 speaker layout with a 2nd zone. Im using SiriusFM, a cd player, turntable and Roku for streaming. It has an internal 8 band graphic equalizer. So far every item looks and sounds great. : )
