    I'm sure that this battery is probably a very good one. It did fit my camcorder, however it was not the same voltage as the battery I had that came with the camcorder. I thought more voltage would be ok, but I found out that it would not work or charge on my camcorder. Just a tip for a beginner like me.

    to be fair, the battery life listed on the front says "Up To". I figured it would be close... a few percent... but it was not. It was less than half. Better off going with the OEM Sony battery. I exchanged for one and have been very happy with it.

    This battery burned out during filming and caused the video camera to have to self-recover. It could have caused extensive damage to the camera if it were not for the camera's ability to self-recover. Since I was away on vacation, I ended up having to purchase another battery at an exorbitant price to be able to have a back-up. I will be returning this battery to the store for a full refund.

    I bought this "after market" battery as part of a package from Best Buy. It fits the camera like the original, charges like the original, but seems to have a little less life than the original. If I ensure both the original and this battery are fully charged I can get through a long day.

    I got the extra battery just in case I felt like a filmmaker some days and it came in handy. Usually lasts about an hour and a half to two hours of straight recording, so it sufficed as a backup power source.
