The drone flys awesome, the 20mp camera can’t be beat. With the option of full view or high quality it gives you the zoom that makes it better than the mavic 2 pro zoom. The active tracking is okay... not as hyped on DJI website... won’t move around obstacles as shown, will just stop. Other than that the battery life is about 30-31 minutes till it’s dead, which means your safe to fly a good 25 minutes without worries of diving into the abyss. Get a u3 v90 cats for smooth videos and ND filters like 4-16.

The Mavic Pro 2 is an excellent machine, it lives up to its reputation. Easy to fly, I had an early Parrot that was difficult and I was wary of getting another drone, especially a more expensive one but the Pro to is very easy to use. The camera is my primary reason for purchasing this model and it does not disappoint either. I did not give a 5 star rating because the cable for the phone was defective and I spent several hours trying to figure out what I was doing wrong until I tried another cable.

When it comes to drones, most people think of DJI. There’s a reason for that. They’re proven in the field to be well balanced drones for your money. With the the Mavic 2 Pro you’re really getting the best bang for your buck. The Swedish made Hasselblad camera is awesome in low light applications thanks to its 20MP and 1” CMOS sensor with adjustable f/2.8-f/11 aperture. It’s also packed with powerful 4K 10-bit HDR video. You get professional quality photo and video in places only a pilot could reach for a fraction of the price. With a bit of a learning curve and some research, you can be a drone pilot gathering professional footage like never before. I’m very pleased with the DJI Mavic 2 Pro. I’ll end this by suggesting you always buy your DJI items from Best Buy as they’re usually always in stock and no need waiting for a month when ordering directly from DJI. Stop by Best Buy today to fly your dreams!

Great Drone. Camera is good. I don't like the Geo Fencing. Looks like the US is going to give DJI problems. Being to strict with these in America. Can't use them in a National Park!

DJI makes really good drones. After a few dozen flights the cable sleeve where the legs bent out is fraying and truly a let down being a premium product.

My wife purchased me a Typhoon H+ for our anniversary however after a few days, we realized that the Mavic 2 Pro would be a better fit for our family. We returned the H+ for the M2P with DJI Racing Edition Goggles and Fly More kit. I will add reviews for those two products after this one. Lots of great things to say about the M2P however since everyone always wants to talk about what they love about products, I’m going to talk about what I don’t like about it first... - No 4K recording at 60 fps. It does 4K/30. At this level I would really have expected them to include 60 frames capability at 4K. - The gimbal protector is inadequate and as a result, there are widespread reports on the Mavic forms of people receiving drones with cosmetically damaged gimbals. Mine fortunately did not have the damage. - The Percision Landing feature which is present in the first generation Mavic has been removed. DJI has indicated they will add it back in a future firmware update. - The controller does not have the ability to hold a phone that is in any reasonably sized protective case. There are third-party accessories that you can purchase that will attach to the controller that are better suited for holding devices that are in cases or even tablet. Ok, now the really cool stuff! My favorite part of this drone is the size. Having owned a DJI Phantom 4 for approximately 2 1/2 years, I was eager to get something more portable. I am no professional photographer so I may never use some of the cameras advanced features however out of the box it takes amazing photos and video. One of the biggest selling points for me was that the M2P camera has an adjustable aperature. This is something that I am accustomed to using on my DSLR so I am very happy to find it here... something that you do not find at this price level. If you are new to drones, the M2P has what is called Tripod mode which slows everything down a bit so you can get familiar with it. There are a few other modes and autonomous features that it has but you can research those online. They are great if you have kids or want to do some really cool aerial cinematography. Another huge selling point for me was the enhanced obstacle avoidance which (depending on mode) will give you essentially 360° obstacle avoidance including top and bottom. OA It’s not a substitute for awareness and responsible flying however it can definitely save you for the times you make mistakes... it does happen. Flight time is great. It says 31 minutes however realistically if you fly your battery down to 20% You can expect closer to about 20 minutes or so depending on your flying style. Still very good in my opinion. Lastly I will mention the ability to add FPV goggles... with the DJI RE goggles, You can get for telemetry data in the headset and have complete control of the cameras movements if you so choose. You can even choose to fly the drone with head movements if you’d like. For me, I put the goggles on my kids and let them have the thrill of flying while I am buzzing around. Anyhow, I think the Mavic 2 Pro is a winner for both family/recreational use as well as some professional applications. Overall I feel that it is a good balance between camera capabilities and size. You can get better cameras in larger drones and you can get smaller drones with less of a camera. You just have to decide where you want to be.

Overall I am impressed with the mavic pro 2 and its features. The camera takes fantastic photos and videos once you get to know all the settings. The flight time seems to be close to what they advertise. Flying the drone itself is easy for really anyone as the sensors basically prevent you from hitting anything, of course if you have them enabled. Compared to the dji phantom 4 pro, I would pick the mavic pro everytime.

Been using this for a year now and so happy with it. It is very easy to learn to use and the DJI app is very well laid out. I mainly use it just for still photography but the video is good also. I average about 23 minutes of flying time before battery is down to about 20% and that has been plenty of time for me.

Pretty easy to control. Lots of options for camera settings and flight paths. Wish some of the various accessories that are recommended were included in the original package. Main negative is that the battery drains faster than expected (I have 3). And I have lost connection when flying over the neighborhood where I live, even only a half mile away at 200 foot altitude.

Easy to fly. Video and photo features are exceptional and easy to master. However, Mavic’s tech support is almost nonexistent and a waste of time. Best Buy on the other hand was fantastic helping resolve firmware update, Assistant 2 software and calibration issues. In my opinion, enclosed manual instructions poorly written, confusing and pretty much worthless.

It’s fun to fly. Very easy. Obstacle avoidance. Cons. No zoom capability for pictures. Remote beeps like crazy when returning to home and obstacle avoidance. Gets annoying. My only regret is not buying one with zoom capabilities when taking pictures. Will upgrade someday.

I have had this out on a few excursions with positive experiences. Its portability with quality footage has been great. My only complaints are software related. When using programmable modes simple things like setting obstacle avoidance sensitivity would be a major plus. As well as more controller presets.

Bought this after flying a DJI Spark around. Huge upgrade on the sensor and image quality. Flying is super smooth and FAST in comparison to the Spark. I’d give it 5 stars but I really miss the vertical panorama for taller elongated subjects.

This drone has excellent stability controls. Even in windy conditions the drone is unaffected. It is easy to operate with DJI’s companion app which provides in-app training for new, inexperienced drone operators. My only complaint is that the camera quality is just ok. The Mavic 2 Pro is a great option if you are looking for a drone to perform inspections with or is you are simply a hobbyists but is not recommended for professional photography or aerial photos you intend to sell.

Overall, the drone is excellent, even if a little overpriced. Video and still pictures from it are excellent. However, though the drone can travel 4 miles, I lose video reception at about 500 yards in open areas. It's possible that changing the channel may fix the issue. I haven't had enough time to experiment with it yet. Overall a good buy.

Hey Don, you should be able to get far more than 500 yards so there may be something interfering with your signal. I recommend checking to see if there is a lot of WiFi interference. Auto channel should be picking up the best frequency, but you can also check the channels manually to see where there may be interference. Also, make sure to point the flat part of your antenna towards the aircraft. If these tips don't work, contact our customer support to troubleshoot the problem. DJISupport
