This replaced a standard programmable thermostat. Easily linked to 2.4 GHz WiFi. The only gripe would be let the program times trump the hold temp feature. You get home and lower the temperature. Once the next timed temp comes along, switch from hold temp to programed temp. Or at least make this an overriding option on the account that you setup. In the case of the Ecobee, HOLD means HOLD all future programs are ignored.

This is the second Ecobee that I have installed in my house. I installed one about a year ago for the main floor. This one was installed upstairs. I like being able to monitor my thermostat’s temperature from my phone wherever I am. I also use Google Home to change the settings. Setup is fairly easy.

We researched a few wi-fi enabled thermostats, including Nest, Honeywell and Ecobee. We bought two Ecobee 3 and couldn't be happier. We had a new condenser & coil installed and our HVAC company installed them both. We downloaded the Ecobee app and set up both thermostats, programmed setbacks and it really was quite easy.

I love the Ecobee thermostats over the Honeywell, and Nest.

Amazing product. Very accurate compared to the old thermostat, and you can tell the difference. Love the ability to control the temperature from anywhere using my mobile phone! And the scheduling works great. Always warmed up when I start working from the home office. The scheduling methods are a bit awkward, preventing five stars, but highly recommended!

This thermostat is wonderful, I absolutely love the fact it’s connected to Wi-Fi so I’m able to adjust the settings no matter where I am. It also has a timed settings which help keep costs down

This works as intended. Using the app is easy and keeps the house at the right temperature throughout the year. Makes life easy when I leave the house and forget to turn off the heat or when I am bed and either getting to hot or cold.

The thermostat was very easy to set up. We can also access is through our Google Home device or using the Ecobee app when away from home to monitor the temperature in the house. Works great to be able to turn the thermostat up prior to coming home from a trip. So easy and convenient to use!

The best thing about this thermostat is the option to purchase additional sensors. My thermostat is in a poor location and is subject to drafts coming from the front door which made my heater turn on and off constantly. With this I can set the system to go by the sensor I have upstairs. Super easy to install.

I’ve had this product at my old house and loved it. Tried to do it at my new house andddd didn’t have much luck. Might have someone come out and do it, but I still love this product. You can control it from your phone and it saves you money in the long run

our nest thermostat was faulty and upgraded to this unit but had to eventually upgrade again to the 4 as it wasn’t compatible with the new system Wished certain functions were available and usable on the app rather than having to log in to the website but other than that ... it worked. The cons: if Wifi is spotty, then unit fails

Compared this with like Nest and others. This is the best for people who have more than one room. The remote sensors help keep rooms from being too cold or hot from the rest of the house. Touch screen vs manual turning the dial on the nest is better for me. The display is better to read both at night and daytime.

I'm still trying to get this to work with my ancient furnace... so far I have had to replace and rewire the furnace and controllers, order a new blower fan relay and coil, get a dedicated 24V power supply. Those aren't issues with the ecobee, just a lot of work to make an old system compatible. If the original thermostat wasn't broken, it wouldn't have been worthwhile changing.

Our new house has 3 AC units and we have purchased 3 of the ecobee3 lite for our home. It really makes managing our HVAC units simple. We have also purchased the sensors that link up very easily. So far this year we have saved 12% off our power bill.

Easy install! Nice that I can be lazy and go on my phone app to change temperature. Also can connect to Alexa. Tells you what the outside temp is, what the temperature for the week is and will remind you to change your filter via email.

This is a great product and very simple to install on your own. I like how little this one is other smart home thermostats are a bit larger. Great interface and love that I can control my heat/ac all from my phone. Also love that it works with Apple HomeKit.

Works great. But it doesnt make a single zone home into a multizone.

Installation was quick and easy. Works really well with my hvac unit.

This is my 2nd Ecobee. I just converted my townhome to dual zone and needed an additional thermostat. I've used the Ecobee 3 for almost 3 years and it has performed flawlessly. Both the IPhone app and the web app are easy to use. I especially like the vacation scheduling.
