Originally I was deciding between this and the best, and I had to choose this one because of the extra features. I have not been disappointed yet. The room sensors are great, and it always keeps my house the perfect temp, which my old thermostats would not. Highly recommend to anyone looking for consistent temps or someone who is creating/ converting to a smart home. Ease of use is a 4/5 because the app can be confusing at times.

Smart thermostat has great features and installs easily. I have replaced 3 standard thermostats with ecobee4s.

Between the easy installation, ecobee app, AND it being our first alexa and the price... A REAL winner.

Ecobee...where have you been all my life? I own a short term vacation rental (Airbnb/VRBO) and guests LOVE to adjust the temperature down to freezing when in the middle of the Arizona "Hot Flash" summer! This ecobee has allowed me more control over the thermostat from afar! Sorry, summer Airbnb'rs... no more setting this Hosts ac to 45°! You now have a 76° - 81° range. HA! #sorrynotsorry

I bought this a few months ago and I love it. It does exactly what it ways it can and it is so easy to set up.

I do not regret purchasing this product. The Ecoboee4 is easy to set up and connect to Alexa smart devices. Additionally the controls are very intuitive. The product is competitively priced since it cheaper than the nest and comes with one room sensor. The room sensor is an awesome feature which allows the thermostat to detect when someone is home and automatically change your temperature settings to what you like.

It was easy to install, wasn’t sure when I got into the furnace itself, but ecobee customer service was excellent and so easy. They stayed with me on the phone the entire time I fumbled through the wires even after I’d had my question answered and knew I could take it from there. Just to make sure it worked once I finished. Easy set up. I love that I can use an app and change the temp from anywhere else. I also love that it is Alexa enabled!

Ecobee 4 is a feature packed smart thermostat. Love that it interfaces with Alexa. Easy installation and comes with an additional room sensor.

Easy and quick to set up. App works well. Only downside so far is only one user profile can be created. Makes it difficult in a household.

The Nest vs Eccobee is mostly subjective. If you are already an Alexa household and you want another this is the a great product. We like this unit because it came with additional room sensors. Nest doesn't have that feature. The light that I see reported as a problem on some reviews is not. Its like having a dim nightlight that's barely noticeable. I honestly think the light is brought up to give more fluff to articles.

The product is so good for the house. We can say ok Google play music and the house will be better

I’m not exactly thrilled with this thermostat, I thought it would be a set it and forget it type of thermostat, but I find myself checking it and noticing it’s not set the way it’s supposed to. For example, I set the thermostat to set itself to Away when the last person leaves. The house would sit empty for hours, and the thermostat is still running. Or when it sets itself up to Away even though the sensors have detected motion in the house. It’s really bizarre to me that it behaves this way, and for that, I can’t give this thermostat a better review.
