Just installed yesterday and the thermostat works great so far. We returned the Nest and got this for the ability to integrate with Apple Homekit or Alexa. They advertise this that it has Alexa built in, but so far, the functionality is not on par. No Bluetooth integration to be able to connect to a speaker and play music, no messaging functionality either. Seems like a pared down version of the echo dot. If I had realized, may have bought the Ecobee 3 and a Dot instead for less $

Has worked wonderful since installed. Have had installed for almost a year. Ability to set temps and report me are very nice. Highly recommend. The only issue I have had. Out of nowhere it would loose WiFi connection and I would have to sync to my WiFi again. Other than that issue. The unit keeps the temps very accurately.

Great excellent thermostat First digital thermostat Love it

As a thermostat, it is just as good as the version 3 (basically the same). The added Alexa function is nice, but the microphone on this device is just ok (and sometimes it sucks). Even the small Echo Dot beats the microphone capability of this thermostat in a major way. The speaker on the thermostat is also just ok. The Echo Dot speaker is much better. I am tempted to disable the Alexa function on this and just use it as a pure thermostat controlled by an Echo Dot.

Recently I went through the electricity bilsl and couldn't figure out why the bills over the past 2 years have been decreased by almost 50%. I credit the energy savings to this little machine and the attic insulation. I used to pay $700/month in the peak of summer. Now it's around $400/month. Totally worth it.

I love this thermostat. I like the Alexa feature, but my favorite features are the ability to set a range, which will kick the heat on when the temp falls below a specific number and the AC to kick on when the temp gets above a specified temp. Here in Georgia, there can be a 30 degree swing any given day, so having this feature keeps us comfortable.

This smart thermostat was installed to go with a new high efficiency gas furnace and was installed by the furnace company for me. The problem has been on how to use it the way it was meant to be used. It operates like my simple thermostat that I had removed. To be honest, I have never gotten around to calling the company for help, but these days, that should not be necessary. I am surprised by Alexis interrupting conversations, also.
