In our previous house we had Nest thermostat's. In our new house, I wanted something with a separate room sensor and read that the Ecobee worked better for that. Switched to them and we like them just as much as the Nest and the sensor works great.

I had a nest for 4 years and it decided to stop working because of a software update and had to rewrite my system to get it to work. Even then it still didn’t work properly. I finally went out and got the ecobee and it works great!!! I highly recommend it!!

The only thing I don't like about the Ecobee is the geofencing. I had to set up IFTTT and Life360 to have it geo fence for two people. It's very easy to set up, and looks nice on the wall too.

APS and SRP has rebates on them on top of any sale or promo best buy or ecobee has. I got it for the room sensors and it works great. I actually spent the time to program it beyond just the default and I am saving hundreds of dollars in electric bills.

Love the ability to remotely change the thermostat. Turned the temp down from 70 to 64 remotely when I left the house for 8 hours. Half hour from return time turned temp back up to 70 from my phone. Using Alexa in living room gives us another room with music in it.

This not only has all the features you need for getting started with a smart home, but ecobee continues to expand its software offerings with updates to enhanced features. It continues to pay for itself over and over again.

I purchased this as a gift for my parents. I think my stepdad will enjoy the control of it from an app. I think my mom will like to use the built in Alexa as she spends a lot of time in the kitchen. Other family members have one and they love theirs.

This work great with a smart house. You can set it while your out to click on and heat up your home before you get home. It also has a room control so you don’t need to heat rooms that are not occupied.

I was doubtful about this as I had never heard but did some research and found out this is better than Nest. For the price I paid was saved in just few months in electric bills!!! A must if you want to save on electric bill and looks awesome! Alexa is a Bonus!

I was looking at the nest and a friend recommended this instead. Works better with my ‘smart home’ options, and being that I have two of them in a house that I will do short-term rentals out of state, they will pay for themselves

the basics to these are all the same, they have multiple programming options. where the ecobee stands apart is the sensors. they are homekit compatible as just the sensors, for motion and occupancy I use them to trigger my lights when I come home.

I like this thing. My bill has not decreased yet but I am still learning how to set this thing up. It is not as easy and to set up as it says. Plus they are not open 24 hours a day. I never use Alexa on it so that feature my not be worth it. It does work with IFTT

Works great. Easy to control compared to older type thermostats. The wiring on my old thermostat didn't work correctly with the ecobee so I did an online chat and the person was very knowledgeable and helpful. Got me up and going quickly.

I absolutely love the thermostat. Struggled a little with installation however I lived chatted with Ecobee directly and they were able to walk me through it! Love all the features and having Alexa available! Highly recommend this thermostat.

It’s a nice thermostat. It’s smart as it has Alexa and (mostly?) can double as an Echo. Nice display and capabilities like remote control of thermostat from your smartphone. However, Alexa was unaware of living inside the ecobee and might still be. It should ship with this level of “self-awareness” at least.

Everything works well. Installation was interesting as I had to call and get help since the diagrams on the app and in the booklet caused the A/C to also be heat. That was fixed relatively quick. And the other quirk for this product is that Alexa tries to listen even in a dead quiet house...not exactly sure what that's about.

Hands down best smart thermostat on the market. Do yourself a favor and get the additional 2 room sensors to maximize the features offered over th a nest

Great thermostat. Does the job well and like that i can control the settings from anywhere. The room sensor needs a battery twice a year so add about $5 each year to the cost but otherwise its great.

Set this up to work with our Apple HomeKit. The built in speakers are convenient to "yell" at the thermostat to make adjustments. The room sensor also seems to do its job as the house maintains a more consistent temperature every day. Very happy so far
