||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from the Ecobee3 to the Ecobee4 to streamline my Alexa capabilities on the main floor. The microphone is no where as sensitive as it should be and often times I would have to yell to get her to accept commands. If it weren't for that feature alone I would have gave it 5 stars. Everything else functions properly.

Poor Alexa integration

We get tons of false voice pickups and responses from this device. In addition, if you turn Alexa off the light ring annoyingly glows red. Ecobee team - why does the light ring have to glow bright red with Alexa off?

Not what i expected

This can be a problem and cause your house to really cold or hot. I wold go with something else but after i put this one in I had to be out of town for a few days and the return window closed.

Also, the instructions want you to add this device, is you can't figure out how wires match to be device, to your main unit in the attic/basement by taking off main panel.
