These are great if you have a larger home. Our home is about 4200 sq ft. I have one in 4 rooms now and with the mobile device I can see where the entire house is. Picture attached. These additional sensors help you get better control of your home and equalize your comfort no matter where you are.

We are very happy with our ecobee4 and the sensors. It functions just like the Nest but better with more options such as Alexa, sensor for each room, includes two but I purchased 4 more. The sensors really work. We use the follow me feature and every room that is occupied is the temp we set.
Pros: It works, it is fun, and saves on energy costs! Another pro is the sensors! I have sensors all over my house and use them to help get the most accurate average temperature reading of my house. I love the fact that they can detect if a room is unoccupied and therefor will focus on making sure the rooms that are occupied are at the desired temperature. The sensors can also be used as a motion detector. Amazing!!!
Cons: the Nests app is more responsive and with little to no delay. The Ecobee app is delayed about 30 sec or more. I’m hoping they can fix that with future updates.
Overall it's a fantastic product. If you want to upgrade your thermostat from Basic thermostat or even Nest like we did. I highly recommend this.

Like my review for the Ecobee I think these are awesome as well. Immediately after activating them you will see that Ecobee recognize them and after that you will rename it if you want and that's it!!! It's very convenient because you'll be able to choose which one will participate for every comfort setting. I can assure you that you'll ENJOY IT!!!

These remote sensors allow me to average the temperature to keep things comfortable thought my house. You can also monitor the humidity on the main system and monitor the remote sensors to keep track of room temperature. The system worms great.

Multi Room Thermometer

Like many larger single story homes ours has a single zone, and thus uneven heating and cooling. In prior homes we had multi-zones reconfigured/retrofitted... We purchased the ecobee3 and added four remote sensors (so there's a total of the thermostat plus 5 sensors) such that each bedroom, living room & kitchen/dining area are monitored. The result is "okay"... As there are no physical zones, the HVAC pumps AC or heat thrui all the ducts when it's on yielding somewhat uneven temperatures (nothing you can do about that without reconfiguring the house/system) but it does a great job of making the rooms more balanced and generally being within a single degree each other (i found it works best when I "disregard" the actual thermostat location reading and use all the other remote sensors for my At Home & Away settings and it works great; I use only our occupied bedroom sensors for the sleep settings)

Got these to be able to keep tabs on the temperature at the other end of the house from the actual thermostat as well as a second bedroom upstairs. They're super easy to set up and help keep the house more comfortable.

Just to be clear, these are an accessory! If you don't have the Ecobee thermostat...these have no purpose.
That being said, these are epic! Paired with an Ecobee thermostat, they help that device sense the temperature in your home or facility that much better.
But wait, there's MORE!
With the help of the thermostat, they also become sensors for WINK!!!
They appear in the sensor panel. Both as occupancy sensors and as temperature sensors!
It's a great quick way to check the status of your home and you can create robots and such!
This was an unexpected surprise and may help justify your cost.

These sensors are a great addition to the single sensor for the ecobee 3. the more sensors that you have, the more control you have over your house. For example, I have a sensor in our nursery, bedroom, kitchen and thermostat in the living room. At night, I have the thermostat only taking into account the nursery and bedroom. It constantly averages out the temperature in those two rooms regardless of what the temperature of the kitchen/living room is. Works great for our purpose.

A Necessity for larger one unit homes or upstairs

I purchased the Ecobee 3 - absolutely the best. I was really taken with the additional remote sensor, which actually contains 3 sensors - temperature, humidity, and motion. It allows the thermostat to get a true picture of the climate in your home because, along with the base unit sensors, you have readings from multiple locations.
I have 2 units, and I have 2 Ecobee 3s. Upstairs, the temperature is very tricky to manage - or should I say was tricky to manage. I purchased this additional pack of sensors because the bedrooms and bonus rooms have inconsistent temps. Adding 2 additional sensors increases the scope of my averages for the climate, and allows the Ecobee to know when more of the upstairs is occupied or not when determining what the experienced climate is - if I'm in my room and the temp in there is 78, but 75 in the other rooms, the AC pops on to cool me off.
If you have a single unit in a larger home, or if you have an upstairs that has aim over the garage room or varying temps, these things will help your Ecobee be even more accurate and efficient in keeping an awesome climate in your home.

I added a pack of sensors to my new ecobee3 to enable occupancy and temp sensing in additional rooms. They have a 15' motion range, so keep that in mind when placing them. They seem to work at a good distance from the ecobee3, but if you have a sprawling ranch with a single zone, you may hit the limits (45' per docs).
Note: sensors shipped in Nov and Dec were assembled incorrectly. This impacts the occupancy sensor. The fix is very simple, rotate the faceplate so the sensor lines up with the window. You can tell by looking at the serial number sticker on the back. It should be on the same edge as the window. If not, you need to fix it or call support.

If you have a larger home or your thermostat is in a remote corner of your home, these are definitely worth it. They do a very good job of regulating the temperature of the whole home and not just the corner where the thermostat is. The follow me feature is nice. Regulates temperature based on what sensors are detecting motion. So you stay comfortable where you are. For smaller homes or homes where the thermostat is in the main living space, they are probably not worth the expense. For Ecobee3 Lite users, they are required for smart home/away to work.

Item works great. Just have extra batteries available. The sensor work great and helped find out areas of or single story 3000 ft that were not getting as much airflow. Set up was easy. Only issue was getting alerts from Sensor that battery is low or has lost connection due to battery failure.

2 additional sensors for the Ecobee3. Allows for better control over your home comfort by giving a better picture of what the true temperature is inside the home, not just what it is in the dark hallway the thermostat's located in. Also allows for better use of the smart home/away feature and the Follow Me feature.

These additional sensors make the Ecobee thermostat work even better. Your able to view the temperature of each sensor on the Ecobee thermostat or app. Having additional sensors allows the Ecobee to focus on certain parts of your home. I have a 2400 square foot home and now have three remote sensors. Having two additional units is great. Doubt I'll need any more.

In my opinion the sensor were built very cheaply. The sensors I got were wrongly assembled and I had to manually remove the covers and rotate the plastic (Easy process that takes only a minute or less), however it took me a day to notice they were not working properly.
As for the functions of the sensors themselves, they work but it takes about 15 minutes or more for it to recognize motion and report it to the thermostat. I do not know if this is just me or its standard.
Overall its a so, so product, but a must have if you have the thermostat. It does equal out the temp around the house as well as only cools/heats the rooms that motion is detected on. ( Meaning if you are in a room were the temp is 85 and another room is 95, and your thermostat is set to 85, the cooling will not activate because it didn't detect motion in the 95 degree room).

These are a little pricey, but so far this is the only game in town if you want multi room sensing capabilities. Which I really need due to room layout.
They can be a little tricky to position, but they seem to work well and are very unobtrusive. 3M command Velcro strips work well for mounting these to a wall.
