    Uses way too much expensive ink

    Prints fine, but is finicky. Don't walk away while trying to print because it'll stop and ask too many questions. The worst part is the amount of ink it uses to what sounds like is continuously cleaning print heads. I go through $60 set of inks in no time before the "low on color inks" message pops up trying to get me to buy more. This is so bad that I am replacing the printer with something else, even though there is no malfunction with the printer. "Give them the razor and sell them the blades" seems to be Epson's motto here.

    I had to replace the 6000 that I used and wore it out the 6100 used the same ink and I had for some reason two sets of ink that I purchased earlier

    After spending three weeks trying to set up a competitors printer, I was able to set up the Epson XP-6100 in 1 hour and 13 minutes. WOW!

    Small cartridges

    After the set up process I printed a picture and it looked fine. The printer sat for a week before I printed another picture and it came out with lines through it. If I have to clean the heads every time I print, the ink cartridges are not going to last any time at all as they are tiny.

    This printer has non stop wifi problems. Unfortunate, but we have to deal with it. It's annoying as hell to reset the wifi settings nearly everyday. Firmware and software updates have done nothing. And no, it's not our router that's the problem, this printer is just crap. Print quality is decent if you set it to high, but every other aspect about this printer just doesn't work right or not at all. Seriously disappointed, wanted one of the ecotanks but best buy can never get anything in stock because everything flies off the shelves. So now we have to deal with this thing.

    Though this Epson was easy to set up and install, we never got off the ground due to persistent "paper jams". When this message appeared I dutifully inspected the interior's every nook and cranny for the paper jam. More than once I followed the directions for, "if this keeps happening". There was No Paper Jam and there would never be one! Turning the unit on & off to use it, hoping it would work? Returned it.

    Terrible customer service for 4-month old printer

    After owning the printer for four months, I had to make four phone calls and send five emails with photographic evidence in order to get Epson to replace our black ink cartridges because the initialization cartridges that came with our print never initialized the printer. This took over a week because I had to wait for Epson's response each time, and then had to wait another five days for the cartridges to actually arrive. Terrible customer service. We will not buy another Epson.

    Costly Ink

    Beware. Epson ink is very expensive. Eventually you will update the firmware and if you're using replacement ink the printer will become inoperable until you replace the cartridge with a "genuine" Epson cartridge. So either refuse/ignore updates or pay 2X ink cost.

    Dismal Piece of Junk

    This printer operates erratically at best, prints poorly, wastes paper, suffers from an incredibly obtuse manual that rarely actually matches the printer's behaviour. The typeface and icons on its tiny display are virtually unreadable even with reading glasses. Poorly made, poorly executed, and an incredibly poor value for the money. Also the ink is blisteringly expensive.

    The software is archaic and the Epson apps are useless and annoying. My workflow is continually interrupted by needless software intrusions. Get out of my way, Epson. Cartridge life is noticeably less than I experienced with my Canon predecessor and your first printer software update will block the printer from using non-Epson cartridges. Really?! That is how it is done on Earth, Epson. Am I going for a higher spec Epson printer for my next? No, actually.

    I loved this printer for the 2 days it worked. I've spent countless hours trying to resolve the issue to no avail. It will not copy, print or scan. I purchased on 1/31/23 and am unable to return it past the 14 days. It's works as a fantastic paper weight. Also bought ink and that is useless as well.
