Owned several Epson projectors over the years. This does not disappoint. Great quality picture. Using as an outdoor projector and it is plenty bright.

Great "4K" projector for the money. Great picture, pretty bright picture. For those that want 4K without the 4k price tag.

This is a replacement for a Panasonic PT-AE900U purchased in 2015. The picture is great, although I will need to upgrade my receiver to get the full 4k pass through. I was able to check the quality by attaching a roku direct. Setup was easy. The horizontal and vertical control setting dials could be better. I had to buy a universal Chief bracket to attach to the projector so I can reuse the mount. That was a little of a pain. Other wise no issues. Powering on, the fan does spin for a bit then dies down. The one thing besides the picture that I like with this projector is that shutting it down is almost instant. The Panasonic would take several minutes to shut off with the fan cooling it down. We are enjoying watching movies as well as console gaming. Huge improvement from 720P.

Great projector. After doing much research, I purchased this one while it was on sale. It uses pixel shifting to create its image. Looks great and is bright enough. Colors are vibrant and no glitches.

Great projector. Never had one before, I was nervous to spend so much for a first time purchase but I’m happy I did. Other people complain about the fan noise but I don’t think it’s that bad. It also depends how you want to use it - the brightest setting makes the fan loud. I use the brightest setting if I want lights on, typically if other people are over and the fan noise isn’t noticeable with all the other noise. I use a lower brightness setting when it’s just me and the family watching a movie, since all the lights are off anyway, and then the fan isn’t really loud at all. Only negative I would say is limited outputs on the back for audio options.

Excellent value for a 4K-capable home projector

Excellent value for a non-native 4K (pixel-shifting) home theater projector. It replaces an Epson 8350 which I used for almost a decade/through three lamps. Excellent dynamic contrast and color accuracy as long as there is minimal ambient light control. I originally chose the Epson 4010, but it had significant chromatic aberration except if lens shifting wasn't used. This model has the high-end lens structure of Epson's best projectors. Razor-sharp test images. Worth every bit of the $200 premium. A good projector screen is also a must. As always, read independent reviews before making any tech choice.

Oh I am sooo please with this I have debated buying a 4K projector for some time now cause I wasn't sure how it would look I can just go see them in a store at least where I live I've read the reviews I like the epson projectors I had a epson 2030 that was good and still is I will use it for outdoor movies but this one blew me away at the picture quality just as good as an 4k TV I kept looking at buying a 4k TV thinking the projectors would live up to the quality but it does well worth it. I love epson cause I set my projector off to the side and it has the Vertical and Horizontal keystone adjustments which make it possible. Love the product great picture quality and very easy controls and setup.

Great picture - but noisy and hot

Picture is excellent - very bright even at 110" screen. Setup was straight forward. 2 things to consider with this unit: 1) the fan is noisy - much noisier than my previous Epson projector. You can tune it out (like white noise) at moderate/high volume scenes, but at lower volumes not so much. 2) It kicks out a lot of heat which I guess is the trade=off for the brightness. I'm going to enclose the unit in a box that vents to the outside in the hopes of solving both problems.

Excellent projector for its price range. Picture quality is incredible, even when just displaying the image on a wall. I haven't put up our screen yet, but I imagine it only looks a lot better against it. The built-in speakers are good enough until you're able to hook it up to a home theater system. Blu-ray movies, Xbox One X games and even YouTube TV looks amazing! I was back and forth between this and a refurbished Epson 5050UB, but I'm very happy with my decision. It was one of the few projectors at this price that had 18gbps HDMI on it (HDMI 2.0b). Easy to set up with many options to customize.
