Time will tell if this new Epson printer pans out. We decided to give another a brand after another one of our HP printers finally went out on us. This model seemed to get good reviews on other websites and looked like a solid buy. When we set it up, I felt like the software was pretty straightforward and didn't require me to flex too much of my IT skills. My wife needs a good printer that will crank out numerous copies for her students. The black & white copies were about on par in regards to quality and speed, but the color prints were a bit disappointing. We thought there was something wrong, at first, with how slow they came out. This differed from the video reviews we saw online, so we're still playing around to see if there's a fix/setting change we can make. I'm also skeptical of how long the ink will last. I don't even know how long the HP ink lasted us, but these cartridges are smaller and I read that it's one of those brands that will not let you print a thing unless its belly is full of ink. I thought this went away with the '90s.... If anything major changes in the next year, I"ll update my review, but so far this deserves a solid 4 stars. It gets the job done, but a bit slower than we're used to in comparison to an HP Officejet.

printer is fast, good looking, a bit bulky but with a low cost, its perfect.

Print is very sharp and clear. 2-sided copying is a definite selling point.

The Epson WF-3640 is great for my needs, it scans and prints at a fast pace.

Great for everyday printing. like the feature of no smudge printing. Photos are not the greatest - should have 5 cartridges for better photos. If one cartridge runs out of it, the printer won't print.
