Terrible product, instructions and support

If I could give this zero stars I would. We had high expectations given the high purchase price for this product. First of all the lock comes with no physical instructions and instead, you have to download the app. Those app directions are absolutely terrible even for someone who is very experienced such as my father-in-law who assisted with our attempts to install it. We followed those terrible directions to a T and the unit still would not work properly. The lock would not calibrate no matter what we tried and the most annoying part is you can’t override the calibration and even use it manually so it is totally worthless. Moreover, it comes with keys, but there is no lock to physically use those keys so again if you can’t set up the product on the app, you can’t even use the deadbolt at all. We reached out to Support for assistance during the weekend during daytime hours and learned that they have no live agents either available via phone, chat or otherwise but instead rely on AI. That was absolutely worthless since my email attempts to communicate with the AI resulted in nothing more than wasting time. Ultimately when Monday came around and we were no longer able to troubleshoot and finally were contacted by a live agent. We learned that the product was defective and they offered to send us another one. Given the above, we declined and return the product, letting them know the reasons and that we would be providing an honest review of our experience, which I’m providing now. The smart lock is apparently too smart for its own good with the added insult entry of terrible instructions and support. I would not recommend this product or this company and we won’t be purchasing anything from them again.
