After a couple months of using the vacuum it was time to empty the canister and clean the filter. Okay, it seemed to have less suction after that. I think I did that probably another two months later and got even less suction. Now we're at just over six months and the brush pushes the dirt around and doesn't pick up. On the tool setting, pretty much the lightest suction you can imagine. Having said that, you'd think I was using it daily and cleaning really dirty areas. Not the case at all. I've used it 2-3 times a month in a master bedroom and loft space and occasionally in other bedrooms around my home -- which is only slightly older than this vacuum and doesn't get much traffic (no kids or pets!). I decided to write this review now becaus I've bought a new vacuum this week. Sure, I'll take this unit apart and see if I can clear all the filters, etc., but my frustration is that I can't rely on this vacuum. I'm a Gen Xer and grew up in a home where my mom used the same Hoover vacuum (with a couple of trips to a repair store to replace the cord after it got sucked into the machine) the entire time I lived with my parents (a couple decades) and I'm pretty sure it was still capable of working in recent years. I guess half a year was too much to ask for as 2015 approached.

Tool attachments are very easy to use. Hose is flexible and there is a tool to floor switch. Beater bar has a shutoff when using tools! Easy to use. I've used a lot of vacuums over the years and this is by far the most pleasant vacuum I've ever used! It really has great suction pulling dirt and pet hair out of my carpet! It really has great section pulling dirt and pet hair out of my carpet. Not to heavy because you empty the dirt after every use. Love the auto windup cord button.. Slow controlled. Love it!

this is a good vacuum for a medium-size home. The cord length is adequate and provides great maneuverability on hardwood floors. The cord length is good and the vacuum is light enough to carry upstairs. The only drawback is the attachments. The tools don't stay on the hose very well, and the vacuum falls over when you try to use the hose.

Pros: Very good suction all the time, even when the deposit is full. Has everything attached to it, very easy to change from floors mode to tools mode. The filter can be washed to be reused after it gets clogged, so you don't need to continuously buy consumables. Cleaning the deposit is very easy and happens in a breeze. Power cord length is very useful to avoid changing from one to another power outlet. Cons: It can't reach bellow the beds and sofas because of it's tall profile. The tools' hose could've been longer for when used to vacuum under the beds or to reach on ceiling corners. Overall I liked it very much, and with the amount of bare floors and carpets we have at home, it has eased the workload tremendously.

Over all its a great vacuum cleaner. I love the wrap up cord, although if you do not have it pre pulled out to a good length, it will jerk the cord out of the power socket while you are still vacuuming. The only other thing I do not like is that even though it has a bare floor setting, you still have to turn the brush off. It has great suction, and is easy to maneuver.

Love the vacuum. Great price. A bit of cheap plastic and had to fix one wheel as it didn't stay assembled well. I would purchase again for the price. Really pulls dirt out of carpet. Does a great job...easy to use, not heavy. Love 'bagless' vacs.

This is the best performing vacuum I've ever had...too bad it is a discontinued model, according to the sales associates in the two store locations where we looked for it. Of course if a vacuum picks up an amazing amount of dirt, has a retractable cord for ease in putting away, and an easy to empty dirt cup, the company would want to discontinue making it. Why keep things easy for the consumer??? The only downside to this vacuum is that the extension for the hose wants to fall off its clip on the backside if you bump the vacuum into something. Easy fix...just take it off the back while vacuuming and then re-attach when done.

My expensive dyson, started to look old and wasn't really cleaning well. Decided to buy this one just because of color and price. No one should post a bad review!! We went home and tried it on an already vacuumed rug that looked clean and it pulled up so much dust that our old dyson left behind!! Great vacuum and great price. Very light weight too. Filters r washable

This vacuum was purchased for a home with both carpet and wood floors. It has nice suction, is pretty quiet, and light weight. It is doing it's job well. Took a few minutes to assemble but the instructions were pretty clear. Overall a good appliance for the price.

Eureka AirSpeed UNLIMITED Rewind Bagless Upright Vacuum was an excellent purchase. The cord rewind feature is handy and vacuum is very light weight compared to others I've owned. Turning the dial on the front of the vacuum allows me to transition nicely from carpet to bare floor. There's even a foot switch to turn the rotary brush on and off. Suction on the vacuum is very good. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

I was going to start out with this vacuum cleaner really sux, but... I won't be so cheesy. Light weight, good suction power, easy to clean out. Assembly is literally a snap. No tools required. I had it assembled in seconds. Took longer to take out of the box, than assemble. I was pleasantly surprised. I love how it switches on or off for the power brush, as well as the hose for hand vacuuming.

This particular Eureka upright is lightweight and has great suction. I like the retractable cord, but I do wish the vacuum hose was a little longer. It's bagless so no more bags to buy and it does the job.

We use this vac every day on carpet, rugs, hardwood, and tile. It does well on all of them. We have had this model for one month and have had no problems. Besides the tipping, we do use a wider tool from an old vac sometimes as this only comes with a narrow tool. Overall a great vacuum cleaner!

Had to get a new vacuum when we moved into a condo with wall-to-wall carpet but could not afford one of the fancy high-tech machines. This one was reasonable in price and works well so far. Two of the best features are the easy to empty bag less dirt container and the easy ability to turn off the beater bar when going from carpet to bare floor. It has several adjustments for carpet height, a nice long cord that automatically retracts, and a special upholstery head that also works for small rugs. Oh, and it picks up stuff really well.

I am very pleased with this vacuum. I have never owned a Eureka before and I am very impressed. Strong suction and very easy to use. Love the small brush to take cat hair off of my furniture!

This vacuum cleaner is a nice addition to my household. It works well on both hardwood and carpet. The retractable cord feature is nice.

It works great, super strong suction and easy to move around. It's lightweight and does what its supposed to do. Only used it a few times, but seems to pull a lot more dirt and grime into the bag than my old one.

The first time I turned it on I knew it had much more power than any vacuums I had previously owned. It maneuvers easily and is lightweight. I actually enjoy vacuuming but don't tell my husband!

This vacuum is a great value! The suction is incredible and the different options for hardwood and carpet along with the attachments are great. Amazed at how well it cleans hardwood floors. The only thing I worry about is the quality of the handle, it seems like it could break off easily because it's soft plastic.

Great suction. Light weight and easy to maneuver around the floor. Simple to switch between floor and hose mode. The only reason I don't rate it 5 stars is that the hose attachment is not very secure and sometimes falls out of it's place.
