This is one of those movies that would end up being a fan fav. It is a classic suspense movie where your perception of each character changes depending on the point in the movie. And with every rewatch, you notice something new that you missed on a previous watch. Also the quality of picture and sound is out of this world with the digital easy to access copy a cherry on top. This is a must have to anyones movie collection

This movie is insane and claustrophobic. I love it. 4K looks great plus it comes with a digital code. Buy it!

This is a good move especially if you're interested or know anything about computers, servers and AI. It comes to us at a perfect time when several science leaders are warning against the development of AI. The move is a pretty basic story - the focus is on the girl and what it really means to be human, a creator and free. It touches on the question of "if I create a life, even if it isn't human, is it free?". Very enjoyable. Don't expect action or heavy drama; this is a slow burner that will leave you thinking about it after the credits roll. I'm going to mark this as recommended to a friend but the real answer is "depends on the friend" as this movie isn't for everyone. Also, I'm irritated by the use of the type of sticker BB put on the sleeve. Typically these come right off but not this one. Some rubbing alcohol should take care of it but still.

Ex Machina is one of those movies that will have you thinking about it for weeks after you see it. It presents the many facets of artificial intelligence, both positive and negative, as we come closer and closer to actually creating such technology. Created for a mere $10 million - pocket change in today's world of quarter-billion-dollar Hollywood CG-happy, brainless summer blockbusters - this film is a powerful piece of work that should be required viewing for all Computer Engineering 1001 students at every University in the country, not to mention those of us with just a fascination about the subject. If it weren't illegal, I'd cut off someone else's thumbs so I could give this movie four thumbs up...it's THAT good!

I love this movie and this 4k release is an upgrade that shows off the stunning cinematography that made me a fan, to begin with. A must-own for any fan of the film, or a great blind purchase at one of the great sci-fi films of the 2010s.

If you enjoy thrillers that are simply dialogue based, and that are able to present questions that you would normally question, then this is the film for you. Honestly, I loved this film. It's entertaining, the visual effects are impressive, the cinematography is on point, and the performances are amazing. Definetly a "Must-Watch"

SUPERB JOB ON THE CASTING. THESE 3 ACTORS DO A PHENOMENAL JOB BRINGING THE CHARACTERS TO LIFE. WITHOUT GIVING AWAY TOO MUCH, THE WAY THE THREE INDIVIDUALS MAKE THE STORY BLEND INTO REAL LIFE WAS ARTISTRY AT ITS BEST.

On a basic storytelling level, Ex Machina invites us to see Caleb's chivalrous (and infatuated) response to Ava as both natural and noble. Is easily one of the best films of the year so far.

It took a while for this movie to get up to speed but when it did it was good movie. I thought the story was original with a great punch line.

I have always been fascinated with anything AI (Robotics and Computers included) and is what brought me to this movie in the first place. The effects and the cinematography both were great. This is definitely a movie that will make you think after watching it and what "could be" and some of the stuff we already are starting to have available now in AI. Yes, now! It's a movie that will keep your attention with many engaging moments, eerie twists and great performance from the actors and actresses. This movie will keep you guessing, questioning and hoping. A lot of very interesting questions being raised in this movie about AI for sure. Definitely worth seeing more than once as you will see something you missed the first time. :) I really hope they make another movie of this as they left it open enough that there very well could be a second movie.

if you like futuristic thrilling movies, then you’ll want to pick this movie up! It also helps if you have a 4K TV and sound system to truly admire this visual spectacle.

This is a film that asks some serious questions about what is human and what is AI. The cast is made up of Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars Films), Alicia Vikander, and Oscar Issac ( Star Wars Films and Annihilation). A guy wins a competition to spend a week with the head of AI company ( Think like Bill mGates). During the course of the week its discovered that this CEO is woking on the next generation of advanced AI applied to robotics( Vikander). There are some serious surprising bends and turns, with an even more surprising ending.

With all the current talk about "AI" this film is for anyone interested in opening their mind a little bit. This is definitely Sci-Fi but has lots of ethics inferences. The Blu-ray content is very crisp and clear. I buy discs because of the additional extras that are included. This one has some good background info.

"I'm gonna tear up the dance floor! Check it out!" This movie is epic. A satire of what the future will look like. The dance scene is haunting. Reccomend.

Beautiful movie. I genuinely love how AI is treated in this movie. People say it’s not “accurate” to real life, but screw those people. The ending to this movie is so thought provoking if you just let it simmer in your head afterwards. It’s in my top 10.

I have seen this 4K disc twice, once alone, and once with my girlfriend. We both loved the film and the quality of the disc reproduction. It is both a chilling foreshadowing of the potential of AI, and also just a well-made suspenseful film. Enjoy!
