The battery in this unit is sure weak. It runs down really fast. You fully charge it and turn it off, it does not stay charged up very long. When you are using it, it shows a little battery image with what looks like a lightning bolt on the battery image which means the battery is charging but it never says how far it is from being fully charged and it takes a really really really long time for it to get all the way charged back up if you don't use it for a while and it gets all the way discharged. This battery in this unit is a real disappointment. But, what can you expect from a less expensive model. Maybe you have to buy a real expensive unit to get a model that has a lot better battery in it??

This GPS is very convenient and easy to use. You don't have to worry about data or your phone going dead. Lane assist and finding places to eat along your route are all helpful. I prefer this to using my phone.

I bought the Garmin Drive 52.5 to replace a much older model. The main new feature I like that my old one didn't have is USB connectivity for map updates. it does have more descriptive features than me older model. The only frustration I have is that I couldn't get it to charge when connected to my computer, only when connected to the automobile.

Purchased this unit to replace an older unit which required updates. Used this particular unit on a trip to the Southern States and it was point on even in the many construction zones. A simple unit that will get there and back.

I needed to replace my Garmin Nuvii which I have had for many years. This GPS was on sale and the price was great since I don't use it but a few times a year. It was advertised as usable right out of the box which is true as far as the maps loaded into the unit. The problem was that the battery was dead and the unit would not come on. Once the battery was charged it worked fine. I'm surprised that the battery will only last about an hour once fully charged. Makes me wonder how it will do when being stored between uses. I've owned several Garmin GPS units and sadly it seems the quality standards have nose dived.

I have had a few GPS devices and this one is very good for a lot less money than what I have spent in the past. My car has a built in GPS so this was for my wife’s car. Very accurate and it also will chime once if you exceed the posted speed limit. A window will pop up to the side of your map as your traveling every so often to let you know there is gas, food, and lodging close by. Very nice GPS for $100.

My old Garmin didn't have Canada so I was happy to find that this one had maps for all of North America. It was a life saver when I needed to find my hotel in Toronto. Not only did I use it to get to and from Toronto, but my vacation was in Newfoundland and I was able to use it there. I absolutely LOVE this Garmin.

I purchased this to travel the road. I used my phone for driving directions, but I purchased this just in case because I was on a long distance road trip across several states. Thank God. My phone lost connection in the middle of nowhere. I turned this on. The satellite and directions came up no problem. 5 stars!!!!!

Garmin has been my go-to for GPS. My first Garmin still works but is getting pretty old and I can't update it, so I thought it was time to buy a newer version. I plugged the new device into my computer and did all the updates, no problem.

I've had an older Garmin model from 10 yrs ago which is still good but a little slower. So I purchased this new model for my wife's car and it works great. Its very quick to connect as soon you plug it in and the best part for me is the map updates which are free. The suction cup and holder are included. I would surely recommend this to any friend.

Bought this after the phone failed me two years in a row on my vacation. My last gps broke aboyt 10 years ago. Im so happy to have a stand alone gps back. I use this for work all the time now. I also wanted to have the upcoming teen drivers get used to using sometbing other than their phones when they drive.

I purchased a Garmin GPS FROM BEST BUY, BECAUSE THEY HAD THE best selection and the best price in town. I used my new Garmin to travel to Winnipeg, Canada. I could enter all of my hotel address's, all travel points and highway info for Canada. The sales associate at Best Buy was very pleasant, helpful and knew exactly what I needed. Thank you Best Buy for making my travels easier.

We dont have unlimited data on our cell phone like most people do so we rely on our Garmin. After using a much older model we upgraded to a new one. So much easier to use. I am very happy we bought this.

This GPS is great with minor flaws. I prefer the old style mount where the back of the GPS is flat. This one has a hole which makes using magnet mounts more difficult. I also prefer the language/speech options on earlier models. The rest is great.
