this GPS is great to take on vacation to use in rental cars, rather than pay the extra money for a car with GPS installed. The windshield suction holder works great with it too. I’ve had a Garmin for years and recently just gave my old one to my daughter. The directions That come with it are not adequate but the manual can be downloaded

I wnted a basic gps without al L the bel L a and whistles. That's what I got with great performance. A screen bit a bit larger would be the only improvement, but the audio is accurate, timely and audible.

Great maps. Easy to use and the street signs are helpful as well.

Works very well for the price. I use it on my motorcycle to navigate roads a little easier. The device is basically just for maps, doesn’t show traffic.

Was easy to setup and download update got me where i was going

For the cheapest one - almost 200 dollars works pretty good..except when it tells me to turn on a street (not the name of the street) or tells me (in red) im going the wrong way down a one way street, when im not..just bought this a few months ago - give it a 6 out of 10

Nice GPS for the price. Dependable. Have had no issues. Took a long road trip with it and it worked well. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but it does a good job on long trips.

This unit does the job. However I like the display and the easier programing of the older model 50LM.

Easy to operate, big clear screen and good volume. Glad to have this in addition to using Waze app on my phone since I was traveling out in the mountains and the cellular service would drop out completely for periods of time.

I love my Garmin! I am so directionally challenged, I don't know what I would do without it. I have had a Garmin for years and someone stole my old one out of my car, after 12 years it was still working. I was so dissapointed, the next day I went to Best Buy and purchaed a new one.

This model is fine (and a value price) if you are interested in getting just the current version (with updated software and mapping capability) of the legacy technology from a few years back. If you're in the market for the latest traffic alerts and other real-time informational add-ons, you're going to have to shell out considerably more cash to get every last whoop-dee-doo gee-gaw that is now available with these stand-alone navigational devices. (Or you could just use your phone, with all the drawbacks that entails.)

I bought the first generation of these way back when, and it lasted through the years. There were some glitches with that one. This one, though, has not steered me wrong yet! Many new features including speed limit indicators. Still wondering how does it know, but I am a much better driver because of this feature!

This is a must have for a road trip where you can't get any cellular data. Pretty reliable as long as you update maps! Docking off one star because sometimes it redirects me and thinks I'm on a local road instead of a highway.

The Garmin - Drive 52 5" GPS seems to be a well designed navigation tool. It took only a few minutes to update the operating software and maps while attached to my laptop. I have loaded it with a few trips, and it successfully located all but one of my planned destinations, and the one destination it didn't immediately recognize (a hotel in NC), had a different name in the Garmin database. The suction mount works great when properly placed on the windshield and the power cord is plenty long enough to reach the auxiliary power socket. Navigation while driving is prompt and seems to be 100% accurate. I do recommend the Garmin Drive 52.

Great gps wish the battery lasted longer though it’s nice

This is an excellent gps and I have used an older one for years and have been happy with it The new was well priced

I use this for the cross streets as I’m a law enforcement officer, it helps with traffic stops when I’m on one of those out of the way places.
