Garmin Drive 52 should fully meet my requirements
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to program HOME, easy to enter destinations. Pleasant robot voice. It uses street names infrequently, rather says directions and landmarks, such as " turn left at the next light, across from Walgreens". I was on Street X and destination required a u-turn on Street X; instead of saying U-turn, it said "turn left onto Street X at the next intersection". I need to better understand the relationship between the charging and programming functions. Is it possible that one can't program while it's charging via the USB cord from the desktop? So far I've only used it unplugged; it takes a couple minutes to acquire satellite signal, and then never loses it. I'm glad I didn't spend more to get a larger display because I realize the audio is more important than the visual.

Garmin GPS
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's very similar to the last Garmin GPS I had, which is good because I knew how to use it. I don't drive near as much as I used to, but it is handy when I go somewhere I usually don't go.

Drive 52 is worth the purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Going from a Nuvi 50 to the Drive 52 is certainly worth it. Even more so when BB will price match. The Drive 52 has more to offer & the price I paid makes it that much better. I am happy with the Drive 52 & would recommend it.

Nice backup
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already have a Garmin GPS over 8 years old and I love it. So, when it was time tø get another one, I thought it had to be a Garmin. I use this especially when I travel for work and really need a reliable GPS -- Garmˆn is it for me.

Worth the asked ng price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to search for what you are looking for. I was extremely surprised it had a saved data base for various types of places to visit, and it also included parking prices too. Would buy another of needed.

as basic as a gps can be
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.if you can get the larger size gps ,, do it .. as it will be easier to see and you will see more of what is ahead .. which is my main disappoint with this unit .. i have the 65 which i love for size and features ,, and then bought the 86 when 86 went on sale after i got this 5" unit because it was on sale .. the mapping software is the same for each 3 units ,, it works all the same way in routing each time i use the routing ,, i always evaluate the route and make changes which is best for me .. if you let it do it ,, it will always select major highways and roads as the primary which you need to understand ... but may not be the best route for you .. so you should evaluate it .. the other way i route too ,, is instead of making the changes ,, i just drive the roads i want and let then let the gps catch up with where i am going ,, and it works just as great .. and will eventually re-route you the way you like too .. the disappointments i have is that this unit is that this will zoom itself all the time which i don't like ,, when i want to drag the map to see farther in my trip ,, and then have to go thru trouble of zooming back to my original zoom ,, this is dangerous when driving ,, it should not be a zoom monster ... the brain or processing chip seem to be slower too as the screen scrolls ,, but is just an observation and non factor.. overall , i will still keep this unit since i have 3 older cars and gps is a great tool for those occasions .. and i wish garmin never got rid of the hand held remote .. which i still have from decades old unit ..

Love it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My daughter was out of state on a weekend getaway. Her phone died. She was five hours away from home. I sent her to Best Buy in search of the old time GPS. Turns out she LOVES it. Sometimes, her phone acts up while she is driving. She thinks this is perfect option.

It gets the job done, and has some nice features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Garmin Drive 52, 5 inch, because my old Garmin Nuvi died while on a trip. I figured the Drive 52 was priced right and would suffice. It's advertised as having traffic assistance, but you have to purchase another cable to have that feature. I thought it was already provided. The Nuvi could be accessed by voice, the Drive 52 cannot. However one nice feature is the ability to bring up a window to let you know what's ahead. It can be customized and I've set mine up for rest areas, gas stations, and towns. When selecting a route, alternate routes are provided. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and it does get me from point A to B.

Great GPS!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my husband as an anniversary gift. He hinted around that he'd really like one and I knew he could use it for work and personal trips. He loves it! He's a very picky man and seeing him happy with this GPS made the purchase even more worth it!

Very good GPS unit for the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent price point for this Garmin GPS and it works very well. The only thing that I didn’t like was it took a few hours for the initial uploading and downloading of the software. Other than that it’s a solid unit.

Big screen, great features, and built in warnings
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Big screen, great features, and built in warnings of school zones and traffic light cameras. I took it out of my Supra to use in my wife's Rogue and never got it back. I bought a second one at a great price point.
