Brought for ny father in law he still likes these gps's over Google maps so im glad that ther are still being made

Working great so far. My Magellan quit working, so I went with this for the sale price and Garmin has been around for a long time. My Magellan had altitude, the specs on this didn’t say that was an option on this one, BUT it is! If you want a GPS that shows current altitude this one does have the option. From the main screen, tap the 3 buttons on the bottom right, or tap where it tells you what time you will arrive at your destination-a list of things to display comes up, tap the plus sign by Altitude, and now your current altitude is displayed.

Love it!! It was a great price as well!! This is my second Garmin and by far the best!!

Great Christmas gift for my Parents whis car isnt equipped with built in navigation. They loved it, and found it easy to use.

I bought this one because I didn't seem to be able to update the maps on my Nuvi 2595. This is similar but actually missing some features that the 2595 has which was disappointing. Then, for the heck of it, I tried updating the Nuvi with my laptop instead of a desktop and it updated fine. So I'm using the old one still with this as backup if need be.

Good basic GPS for the price. Screen isn't big but it got us across the country and back in a rental car.

I love this little thing. For someone so inept at directions, this is a life saver. I'm better with landmarks when traveling, but that's hard when you've never traveled there before.

Easy to use, update, and navigate! This is my second time purchasing a pair of Garmin GPS'. After having my first pair for 15+ years, the on / off button fell off and the window, certain numbers on the touch screen were more difficult to push, and the suction cup didn't affix to the window as well. I thought they had a good run so bought a similar 5" upgrade - maybe another 15 years?

Took me on a 1600 mile trip with few or no glitches.

This is my first Garmin product I've purchased.Very pleased with the performance and ease of use.I'm a senior citizen and not very "high tech". Definitely a good value.

The best thing about a GPS is it is so easier to see than my phone and if my phone rings I don't have to re-find my phone GPS. No fooling around with phone while driving.

I have used it everywhere, it has a very clear screen, clear and detailed information, and it is easy to update for FREE.

Got it and its still working. Can look at the streets to use and not need full address or anything.

I bought this device to replace and older unit that the usb connector was going bad. I use this to run our car clubs routes that are made in basecamp and accessed through the trip planner function. the only thing I can't figure out is trip planner to read the SD card, but otherwise works well

So much helpful to give the easiest way to reach destination

This GPS does the most basic of what you would expect. Battery life when not plugged in is only about 10 minutes, not one hour as I saw others reporting. I had to purchase a charger for another $15 which is not so straight forward as there are like a billion other models of the the Garmin GPS with various chargers, go figure, i like the simplicity of Garmin stuff and this unit replaces the built in GPS in our Lexus. I-phone and Google almost as good.

Very Pleased with my Garmin. Had no idea that I could answer my cell phone with it. Definitely loving the clear screen and wide view.
