I get most people use gps to travel, but my wife uses gps for everything. Overall, a cut above average.

I was sadly disappointed that it does not have as many options as my previous model. This one does not have as many voice options or vehicle options. I find that the female voice is annoying. Hopefully I can change that when I plug it into my computer. It does not have traffic updates which is very important to us in Houston traffic.

I was reluctant at first for another Garmin, but couldn't pass up a discount. So far this new model has performed well. My old Garmin had problems working with a MAC for updates, but this model synced perfectly. The map has been accurate and no apparent lag has been noticed with positioning.

You need to be accurate with your spelling when looking for something or it won't find it. I like the directions it gives and the display. Unfortunately for me mine won't work on the battery it has to be plugged in. I may have to call service before the warranty is up for a replacement. that's the only reason I gave it 3 stars could have been 4.

Posted .This device is primarily designed to be powered with the included vehicle power cable however it does include an internal battery that has a battery life of up to 1 hour on a full charge. Garmin Product Support is happy to help if your is lasting much less than an hour from full charge. Support.Garmin.com
