The only complaints I have are what I feel are poor instructions so I probably don't get the full benefits of the unit, and the fact that I have yet to find a mounting system that I like.

Posted .Yes, although "portable", these navigators are not handheld and do require power when operating. For best experience be sure to completely power off the unit when not in use. Even if battery is depleated, once you plug into your vehicles 12v power source, the device will power on within a couple minutes tops. The only thing I don'tike about this GPS is that it would not calculate the route until I started driving. Another feature that took me a litw while to figure was it would make a dinging noisw every so often. I finally figures out that it was alrring to a change in the speed limit for that section of highway, always lower.

I get most people use gps to travel, but my wife uses gps for everything. Overall, a cut above average.

It was easy to set it up. There are so many settings. You can easily go back if you wish to change a setting. The inside charger cord was too short. The screen is easy to read the upcoming streets are clear and easy to read.
