My car is in a parking garage and I get no signal which makes it is more convenient to set the route in my apartment so I don't have to pull my car out and sit on the street while punching in the address. Mine went from almost fully charged to almost out of power (in the red area) in less than 10 minutes. That wouldn't be a problem, but they only give you an 18 to 24 inch cord to use outside of the car so you need to be really close to an outlet if you want to plug it in during use. Also, it is the old mini USB cable that has not been used by most companies for a long time so the chance of having a longer cord laying around is very slim. This unit is far slower and way more "clunky" than any cell phone map/GPS app available today. The calculating route action seems to take forever and be prepared to scream if you try to edit a route because even the slightest tap of your finger while moving the screen will set a new "point" on the map causing the route to change to something completely different. Hoping to find a faster way to enter and then edit a route I tried using the Garmin Basecamp app on my laptop. The app couldn't even find an address that the GSP itself was able to locate and guide me to - completely useless. I only purchased this GPS because I recently had an issue where my cell phone refused to connect to a network for over 40 miles while I was in an unfamiliar area. I decided it would be a good idea to have a back up in the car just in case that happens again. I have not owned a Garmin GPS for over 10 years and it is scary that they have not really progressed much in that time.

Also, often times it shows you next to the road, instead of on it. We have replaced this every year as it suddenly stops working completely and won't turn on.
