It Directs to Wrong Places

First, the battery was always low and it always had to be plugged in. After I updated the software by connection to a computer and internet, the situation seemed to have improved. However, the places it directs me to are sometimes wrong, I have to use my phone to arrive to the right places. Sometimes the routes it chooses are not the best, I also have to use my phone to find a better road. It's not as good as my very old TomTom GPS. I had high hope after reading the reviews and that was why I bought it, but I'm very disappointed. The way to input the destination is confusing and inconvenient. I definitely don't recommend this product.

Posted .The GPS is designed to create routes by estimating the fastest and most direct way to reach a destination using major roadways. There are several navigation settings on your device that can affect the way it calculates routes.
To check Navigation settings: on the GPS select Settings, then select Navigation and check the following:
• Calculation Mode – Garmin recommends keeping this set to Faster Time
• Avoidances – place a checkmark next to items you want to avoid
Out-of-date maps or software can also cause your device to route inappropriately

The GPS part did not always provide the shortest route and avoided some secondary roads. Also there is one route where it warns me of a wrong way when it is not. A minor glich in a familiar area. It is senior friendly.
