Like most people, I use my phone as my GPS, but I started to wonder what current GPS devices offered. I was an early adopter back in the 2000s, so I’ve seen these devices evolve over time. But what blows me away is the quality of the voice command and the camera system. I definitely would spend extra to buy one of these higher end devices, as it does more than give directions. It is virtually hands free, where I simply declare “Voice Command” and it turns on. The degree of accuracy has been inconsistent, but I figure it will learn over time. Surprisingly, it worked well in Hawaii, where every other letter is a vowel. As you arrive at a location, it gives a live view and points out the location for you. The interaction with your Smartphone still needs some work, but it is ultimately effective, although a little tedious because you have to turn on your app and have it connect with your GPS device. I wish the device was easier to connect and disconnect, like the magnetic connection on the DriveLuxe model. But ultimately, I went with the DriveAssist version for the camera. But I preferred the DriveLuxe ease of disconnection. The cord is somewhat awkward as well, as it is an old USB mini connector instead of micro. The unit does not hold a long charge, so you need to keep it plugged in more often than you’d want. I would buy it again, but wish I could try the DriveLuxe. The camera isn’t as important as I thought because it takes some work to turn it on.

Great GPS. With all the crazy drivers out there, I wanted a dash cam. This has both a GPS and dash cam in one. The screen is crisp and very clear. It was easy to set up. Connecting the device to the mounting initially took a bit but once we figured it out, it is easy to get on and off. Voice commands are easy in traffic. Camera view when arriving at destination is very helpful in trying to find a house number. When we take a different road than the route shown, it recalculates quickly WITHOUT the voice repeating "RECALCULATING" over and over - nice. Lane assist is updated and show not only generic which lanes to be in but also shows you as your diving what the various lanes do - 1 goes right as another ends, etc. Lane departure assist and forward collision warning can be a little touchy, but it's not too distracting. Like the notifications there is a school ahead, animal crossing, curve, or railroad crossing. Only wish was that it would show both arrive time and distance remaining on the screen at one time. You can choose which appears and can touch the screen to see other info at a glance. We were used to this with our previous Garmins. We've used in on several trips and will definitely keep this one

I'm all over the city and don't have time to read maps. Using the voice command while on the fly is really useful. Occasionally I even use the blue tooth to send an address to the gps from my phone. Too convenient.

I have had two other units but this one is the best yet easy to operate , especially with the voice command. More accurate than past models. Great indsheid mount.

Excellent array of upscale features especially the forward facing camera. I really like the hands free voice command.

I got this as a replacement for another brand. So far, it has been really nice - both the GPS and dash cam. Since I had to travel, I took it along andit really worked well. I'm still getting used to voice command and app to my cell phone features, but they are really nice to have. No complaints so far.

Small, fast, accurate, updates itself via phone wifi, and voice command is great.

We bought this for my son and daughter who just got their drivers licenses. This is a great unit. 1st-It has voice command so they don't have to touch the GPS. If they want to know where the nearest Sonic is, all they have to do is talk to it. 2nd-it's fast. We've had a couple of older GPS units that took a while to update. 3rd- this one has a dashcam which is AWESOME for me to go back and review their driving habits. Oh and it records sound which is funny to hear how my kids argue. 4th- bluetooth allows them to connect a phone to it and speak through that if you like for hands-free driving. Now I just one too!

I have used a GPS navigator in my car for over 20 years. This is the best one I have ever had There are still some features i haven't tried, but the ones that I have used are the best. The camera gives you very good lane departure warnings and collision avoidance. Warnings for red-light cameras, speed limit changes, and curves also. The voice command feature is easy to use and accurate. If you use the camera app, the right 1/3 of the screen will give you a easy one-tap access to save the recording and take a picture of what the camera sees. I like the Garmin unit so far it's easy to use. I like the voice command feature makes it very easy to program and search for things. Price point was very good compared to other brands and types that I looked at.

A very good product at a very decent price. Video quality is good and so is the voice command feature.

Really like this model. The voice command feature makes it easy to add stops along the route, although it sometimes takes many attempts to use, it is getting better. Synched it to my phone yesterday and the live traffic updates notified me of a closure on I-35 and detoured me around an accident that I am quite certain would have resulted in a lengthy wait to get by. Highly recommend this product for anyone who has to travel a lot. Also bought my wife the same model and she loves it.

I purchased this unit for use in rental cars while traveling. It works great without any lagging or delays. It provides for pre-programing addresses for a particular city which saves time and is very convenient. The voice command and traffic info features are excellent.

This gps has many great features. With voice command you can program the gps hands free. The driving assist helps keep you in your lane. There are alerts for schools and railroad crossings.

Love the voice command feature. The camera recording works great. I like using this over my iPhone maps app.
