    Microwave trips Circuit Breaker after few months.

    I bought this Microwave PVM9005SJSS in May 2017. Since March 2019, this microwave keep tripping when door is opened or when any touch screen button is pressed. I do not recommend this microwave to anyone. This microwave has big flaw in the design or in some component and looks like GE never admitted or addressed this issue when uses posted reviews. I have seen two more reviews complaining the same.

    We bought the microwave in dec. 2020. It has already broke. My husband can fix anything but can’t get the microwave to work. We payed $630 so it makes me sad we need to buy a new one already. Not happy

    $500 Piece of garbage from GE

    As many other 1 star reviews says. An absolute piece of Garbage. Started having issues with the first year of purchase where it would trip the breaker box. After researching so much found out it was one of the switch. replaced and worked for some time then every time it gets disengaged in the middle of cooking the same switch keeps blowing. now it's completely dead as soon as i plug it in the socket. $500 Piece of garbage from GE. Do not buy this product it has a major design flaw.

    Garbage

    Used microwave about 20 times and now it humms loudly. Found loose single screw that holds in the magnetron deflector vibrating. Was not tighten. Poor quality manufacturing. 2nd GE appliance l have owned and they aways have quality problems like this....can .. ..never buy GE....

    Poor quality microwave

    DO NOT buy this microwave. We’ve had it for 4 years and there’s no power to it anymore. Cost of diagnosing and fixing will be around 2/3 of the original purchasing price. They’re not built to last!

    I owned this microwave for just 23 months. Then the keypad stopped working, which meant the microwave stopped working. (Occasionally we could get it to start by slamming the door). The repairman said the repair would require replacing the door, at a cost of $414. So I decided to buy another microwave. I cannot believe I got less than two years out of a microwave with such good reviews. I guess the reviews are written shortly after purchase.

    Do not buy any GE products! Was working good for a few years and just died! We take care of all of our appliances, but GE makes horrible products that you MUST get the warranty for!!!
