This icemaker is the best icemaker I have ever owned but you have to make sure you do two things in order for it to keep working well. 1) DO NOT USE THE FILTER. After a short period of time, it simply will not support the flow of water required by the pump for the system to work properly. 2) Instead, use filtered, purified water in the system. My daughter has a Brita filter on her kitchen tap that reduces the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) to around 150 ppm (use a tester). I took it one step further and take that water and use a countertop RO water purification system that reduces the TDS to zero (it is probably not, but my meter only reads parts per million and not lower). By using that water, and no filter installed in the icemaker, I have been using the icemaker for around three months with no issue (no descaling, no cleaning). I am planning on cleaning the icemaker every few months or so, but so far, no issues with what other reviews have said on BestBuy and online (low water alert, descale, etc.)

This is very loud, in my experience, and feels like there's not much ice, well, as a person who really likes these pebble ice. Love the ice though. When first setting it up and reading all the directions, this item seems to be a high maintenance ice maker and just going to make me frustrated overtime. Overall, without all the other issues, the ice is pretty great, but would not recommend this.

It works very well. Is not to big on the counter. I do the maintenance as the lights come on, about once a week.

It is quiet, works great, makes double the ice of the last machine that i had. Looks better. Side tank holds more water for less refilling.

This ice machine works great. It makes your first batch of ice within about 10 minutes and makes almost 40lbs per day. I bought this because I had shoulder surgery and the small ice is ideal for making ice packs that conform to your body. The cubes that my fridge makes are regular size and don't conform to your body as well. The downside of the ice machine is that it's rather expensive and the amount of cleaning that needs to be done prior to having edible ice is kind of a pain. Overall the price and cleaning aren't that big of a deal to ensure that you have clean ice! I definitely recommend this machine!

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. She's always wanted a nugget ice maker. This one is awesome and well built. Loads of capacity and makes ice fast. Cleaning process isn't too hard and keeps ice nice and fresh tasting. We love the light and the extra storage tank is super easy to fill. The magnetically attached scoop holder and scoop can be placed anywhere on the side of the unit. Love this thing!

Works great. Love it!! You will have ice in less then 15 minutes. Only down side is that is is a bit noisy

This ice maker has been really doing a great job. One thing I can suggest is having it close to a sink so you can refill the side tank easily. The other thing I didn't know is how often it is recommended for the cleaning cycle. I know it's a bit spendy for most people but if you feel like splurging on a ice maker this is the one!

The product is great and the ice comes out fast/delicious. My only complaint is unless there is water under the container it won’t pull from reserve directly. So even if the side tank is full I still have to put water in the machine. Just and extra step and can be annoying if you forget.

We love this small pebble ice maker. It mskes ice really fast. The water resivor is so easy to fill without making a mess. It looks great sitting on the countertop. So far do good.

This icemaker was purchased after a smaller countertop one died. I've had this a week and LOVE it. It makes the best ice and the water take is a game changer. I like that there is an app to remind me to clean it. The tray opens and tilts out, so you can hold your cup and scoop your ice without worrying that the tray is going to fall. Also, the magnetic scoop holder is genius. This was more expensive than my first icemaker but well worth the investment.

Wow. What a great gift. I have been told this was best gift ever at least 10 times. If you like soft ice this is the machine for you. Low maintenance.

We replaced an GE Opel ice maker that worked well for 2 years. We did have to return a couple cause they weren’t making ice. The third one made ice but after we did a descale with vinegar it worked far better. Made me wonder if the others we returned would have worked after a descale.

The device works good, but it will show to add water when the side tank is full. I’ve had other older models and they all have had this same problem. I was hoping by upgrading, that this problem would be resolved, but it’s not. If it wasn’t for that issue, it would be a 5 star rating.

Love it so far. Many talked about the noise it makes, but it really isn't all that loud. With anything else, you get used to it. We use it all day, everyday.

I owned the first generation, 1.0, which kept breaking but made incredible ice. This new 2.0 also made ice fast and plenty of it, but it only lasted four months until the wailing from the machine started again. This machine seemed more robust in its build, but the engineers needed to fix the part that pushed the ice out. That's whats making the noise. I am so disappointed, as it works great when it works!

This ice maker is the bomb, and does what it is supposed to do - make crunchy chewable nugget ice, like some fast food places have, so that my wife can have the ice she loves when she wants it! The capacity and production rate are more than adequate, and I cannot see using one of these WITHOUT the optional side tank accessory. You really don't want to have to pull the ice bin out and pour water in that way, especially if you use a lot of ice. Just be aware of the maintenance required. I went into this knowing the maintenance requirements - weekly or so sanitize cycles, as well as monthly or so descaling cycles. If you schedule it to be off at night (say 10pm to 7am), you can squeeze several more days in between cleaning cycles. It doesn't bother me, and just ensures everything is clean, fresh and pristine. All in all recommended, but know about the cleaning requirements before you purchase.

I love how much ice this machine makes. I recently had a party, and my ice maker did not disappoint. I purchased back-up ice just in case I ran out but it wasn't used. The ice machine would be a great purchase for anyone needing a machine.

Love it so much its like sonic ice. alot of maintnance required
