    Didn't even know Best Buy installed remote starts. Had been shopping around until I found out Best Buy did these. Waited for good sale and was pleasantly awarded with a deal of the day bundle. Came with this unit, 2 way viper remote start and installation. Only had to pay for additional factory alarm wiring which was $39. Best price compared to all other competitors nearby.

    I bought this package thinking it was a good deal. Little did I know that the installation would cost me an extra $190 added on to the installation I had already paid. $290 for installation was crazy. The product is great. I love the distance, but i will never buy a remote start here again. It's cheaper at the car audio places.

    Hidden charges are more than double the price of the package you buy. Geek squad guy did fabulous job. Customer service was pathetic. Had worst experience with the Best Buy store, I was waiting for 25 min just to pay the hidden charges. The lady on the desk was rude, no respect or greeting to the customers. When I went there geek squad guy was not available I had appointment for 11am. I did find him there. I went in the store to ask about the guy he showed up after half an hour. It was waste of time and money. Product is definetly good.

    The install was done in a timely manner. I was told to be at the store before 6 for a demonstration and to finalize the install. I arrived before 4, picked up the car, asked what else I needed to do regarding the remote app. The technician said "nothing just download the app". I asked again if there was anything else since the original call said to be there by a certain time. I then get home and try to set it up and it won't work because they never activated it. They were suppose to do that with an email account at the store before I left. They then asked if I could come back.(I couldn't because the store 30min from my house and I had to work the next day). The technician agreed to try to do the activation over the phone and luckily it worked so I did appreciate that.

    This remote starter works great with the exception of the second key fob. We can't get it to start the car. Might need to take it back in and see if there is an issue. Otherwise, works great!

    Getting an appointment is a struggle

    The installation service is great, the techs know what they are doing and are very polite, The ability to schedule an appointment is poor. The next available appointment at my store (and surrounding) is March 11th (made the appointment on January 13th). For a remote start installation, the need is gone. Lets hope for a cold 2016! Should have made an appointment in early December when I purchased the Christmas gift. Lesson learned

    I got this installed for my husband last year and my daughter this year. I have a different remote start that was installed by the dealership when I bought my car. I wish I would have just purchased this and had it installed at Best Buy instead. My husband's and daughter's both work great and at long distances. Mine, not so much. Plus mine was more expensive and has less features. Very happy with this product as is my family. Installation was great, customer service was great. No complaints.

    Good deal on the combined price of the installition and remote start system. However, the additional parts cost caught me off guard a little. Good explanation from the Geek Squad but needs to be more emphisis put on the product about the additional cost variences. Professional installation and great service non the less from Best Buy.

    Have only had it in a few weeks, but good so far. Two things: 1. Would be nice if BB could tell you how much the final amount will be (based on your car model) BEFORE you buy. Seems like an easy thing to do. 2. Recently had to jump start the car and the remote starter stopped working. Manual does not explicitly tell you what to do in such a case. To the contrary, it implies that you don't need to do anything. Nor did Viper timely respond when emailed via its own help email line. Got it working again in any event by trying a few things in the manual.

    The product itself is great. I did the research before purchasing to make sure I wouldn't need any additional parts to install it and was told I would not. It took over a month to get it installed because they were so backed up on install appointments and the first thing they made me do when I showed up for install was buy another $200 worth of parts that I had been told at the time of purchase were not necessary. It also took 5 hours to get it installed despite my appointment.

    This is my second time using the viper system and I am very satisfied with this product. Works well from a good distance and have had no issues. Best buy geek squad was very efficient and professional. Got install done in a timely manner and all additional install cost outlined and priced as promised befor install. Very good expieriance dealing with staff

    My dad wanted this for Christmas. I ordered it and even called the store to make sure the installation was not going to be expensive. It did come with an installation certificate, that said hardware was not included. The store said it would only be about fifty dollars. My dad made an appointment, and when they were done they charged him 169.00. No more shopping at best buy for me......

    I was more than a little hesitant to bring my car into BBuy, but Chase was a pro. Talked me through what he was going to do in advance and checked with the options. The install took a long time, almost the whole day, I can't imagine it was easy. The outcome was very well done, clean, neat and very beautifully done.

    I got my autostart installed at Best Buy. It took around 4 1/2 hours total to complete. The person who did my installation gave me a thorough walk through on how to use it and what its capabilities were after it was installed. He was very knowledgeable and helped me use my autostart before I took my car home. I am very satisfied with the installation process and technician.

    We traded the viper starter in for a better and overal cheaper model at the suggestion of my auto tech. Due to us needing additional hardware it would have been much more expensive . I am quite pleased with spencer, the auto tech.

    So far this has been a great remote starter and the installation was very professional. Installer knew what he was doing and was very honest. He found an old remote starter was installed and because of this we did not have to purchase an adapter because the old starter had one with it.

    This is the second remote start theu5have installed for my [2004 Toyota matrix base modile & 2004 jeep grand Cherokee limited full loaded. Both installs were great and both systems have worked great. The guys have walked me through the bells & whist8 both times.

    Bought this item with installation for my parents who live in another state. Information from people with remote starters told me that most places use common hardware, so service and installation were the biggest concerns for me; I didn't want my parents to have a hassle getting the installation scheduled or to have the installation process cause issues with their vehicle. Local folks recommended Best Buy and a local shop, so I chose Best Buy for this out-of-state installation. Online scheduling was a breeze, the Geek Squad communicated with my folks clearly and often, and my parents were very pleased with the entire process. They love the convenience of the remote start and have had no problems in the two weeks since installation. Based on this exemplary process, my husband purchased the same produce from Best Buy last night for his car. Thank you for making me a gift-giving hero!
