So far so good, been about three months and I’m very happy with the camera’s performance

I am beyond disappointed. 2 nest outdoor, one cam indoor, two iq cams, two nest hub max, one nest hub. Obviously, I like nest. This camera is HORRIBLE. One charging cable in the box, you CANNOT use the nest app. How is my wife supposed to check on our animals? She cannot access the cameras. The worst part is the camera quality, what a joke! The quality is worse than 1980 POE cameras. Paris Hilton had better quality in the dark. Google will lose my business if this is where they are heading. They are making mistake after mistake with Nest. So stupid.
Hi Crazybear88, thanks for sharing your feedback on the Nest Cam (Battery). We're sorry to hear that the experience has not been ideal for you.
You can adjust the video quality in the settings to balance high resolution video with longer battery life and lower bandwidth use. For optimal video quality at 1080p, an internet connection upload speed with at least 2 Mbps per camera is recommended (DSL may not qualify). Please check the steps below: - Open the Home app Google Home app. - Select your camera. - Tap Settings Video. - Under “Video quality,” tap High.
New Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.
Also, it only takes around 4-5 hours to fully charge the Nest Cam (battery). If you need more than one charging cable, or if you want the camera to be wired with continuous power, you can go with the optional Nest Cam (battery) Weatherproof Cable (in 5m or 10m) to keep your Nest Cam connected.

I am so happy to get this installed on my back porch. I am now able to see activities in my backyard and with the ring doorbell, I can see activities in the front of my house.
Hello there, Benjamin. Thank you for sharing your experience on Nest Cam (battery) and we're sorry to learn that it was less than ideal. For your battery concerns, we recommend using the battery saver feature to extend the battery life of your device. When the automatic battery saver is enabled, your camera will automatically adjust its features to help conserve the battery. If you've tried this before or if the issue still persists, please reach out to our dedicated team of specialists on our Google Help page for immediate support here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Great addition to the line. Much better concept than the previous wired version. Battery lasts for months with smart detection. 4 stars on the value unless you can catch a sale.

At first I was skeptical, but it seems to have learned and picked up events as expected. I wasn’t sure about moving to the Google Home app but it’s been great so far. Battery life is fantastic

Zero issues with this device. The lack of power cable allowed me to put cameras where I needed without all the extra work. I think I’m going on 30 days or so with no battery issues.
Hey Mike, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, and we’re glad that you found the Nest Cam (battery) with ease of setup and use. We’re aware that longtime Nest users enjoy having the option to view their Nest camera feeds from the web, and we are working on adding this experience. However, our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app.
Meanwhile, We suggest having the latest version of the Google Home app that may improve camera playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the camera history view for cameras set up in the Google Home app. And if you need help with any concerns about the performance and functionality of the camera, You're more than welcome to let us know here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Charged the battery Friday. It's dead by Monday morning. Takes over 4 hours to charge.
Very far from estimated battery life.
Quite annoying.
