It has been over one year that I bought a pair of these indoor wired cameras. It was soooo easy to set up these two cameras within my home. These cameras connect easily with the Google Nest. Home security has never been this easy! In closing, today I have ordered another pair of these cameras for greater security.

Google cameras have excellent quality and practicality. This is perfect for use in garages or backyards where you have a cover and an outlet nearby. Installation is simple and integration with the Google Home app is practically automatic. The night vision and motion detection sensors are excellent.

The video and audio quality for this camera is much better than the 1st Gen camera that I just replaced it with. It has a heavier base that makes it much more sturdy as well. The only downside is that I can't use my 30' USB cable that I purchased for my 1st Gen cam since the new camera has the cable built in. I'm sure I can get something else to extend it if needed but the built-in cable seems to be long enough for now. Other than that it's great and worth the update from the previous gen camera.

If you're already part of the Google/Nest Home ecosystem, then this is definitely the camera for you. I have two properties that I monitor, 500 miles apart. I previously used Arlo battery-powered cameras connected to solar panels. Both cameras suffered the same hardware failure after less than two years of service and I replaced them with these. What a difference. I changed the monitoring location to a more sheltered area where these camera could be plugged into AC mains all the time (as they must be). That solved all the environmental problems I used to have with the Arlos' batteries being either too hot or too cold to charge properly. That also solved the problem of having to do hard resets with battery pulls. I also experienced a 7-second-plus lag when monitoring the Arlo cameras, both locally and at the remote location. With these Nest cameras, it's less than a second, effectively negligible. The video quality is superb. The data throughput is peerless. And finally, the facial, object and motion recognition is both more accurate and less prone to false notifications. You can designate familiar faces, so that you don't have to check the video feed every time you get an alert. You simply get an alert that says "Your annoying neighbor Cletus detected on Front Door camera." (Don't have to check the feed.) Or, "unfamiliar face detected." (DO have to check the feed.) In short, a tremendously reliable, fast, useful camera. Highly recommended.

Had to get two of these to replace two other cameras that were 10 years old. They still worked but won't be supported anymore on the app. So, we love these cameras. Obviously they last a long time. Just a little sad the old ones are being phased out. That said, the new cameras have a much better picture quality.

I put this in a window to overlook a parking lot after a car break-in. You can disable the IR lights in settings, so it works at night without reflections off the glass. You get notifications of movement telling you vehicles, animals or people, through the Google Home app and 3 hours of free recordings. The app lets you download clips to share. The cord is fairly long and the camera is easy to setup. 1080 is pretty good, but not like CSI enhance! levels of detail. Good value if on sale.

I got thus to keep an eye on my puppy. I like being able tonturn it off on the app when I'm not using it.

Very good camera. Works well with the Google Home app and other integrations. Feels very heavy with good quality as well.

This camera works great. It can detect where a person or the dogs are in the room and alert just the dogs if I would like. It has facial recognition and will let me know if there is a stranger in the house. This is my 8th Nest Camera and I love them. They are great products.

Great item. Love the wired version more than the wireless. Has way better connection and doesn’t need to be charged.

I purchased these cameras because they add peace of mind, especially at an apartment complex and the fact that I am home only on weekends. it makes it very nice to be able to view them at any given time so that way I know what is going on

An absolute upgrade from the previous version. I replaced my doorbell and indoor cameras with the latest version and the image quality is far superior. The audio quality is the real show stopper, I can hear a conversation from across the room even if the background is loud. I wish I had upgraded much sooner.

This system is very easy to set up, the cameras are great quality and there are no connection or disconnection issues. Previously had a Lorex system that I spent $1,000 on and it was horrible it was constantly disconnecting from the internet and so unreliable. I have 5 of these cameras and I’ve never once had an issue with the cameras. It’s so great when something actually works! They also have a good look.

Camera is fine for what it is. Just like any camera of this type, a subscription is basically required to use this fully. IR lights are insanely bright, so bright that you can put tape over them and still retain some functionality. That being said, Ive never heard a louder click come from a camera when switching to IR. Good lord, lol. The audio is very "meh". Anything making noise near the camera will completely drown out anything else. Not ideal. The provided cord for power is USB? WHY?! Im not cutting the cable to find out, but I doubt you could extend this wire as easily. Im talking cutting and splicing. Most USB extension cables require...power...soooo....poor planning on their part. Who knows, maybe the only wires being used are power and ground. Camera feels sturdy. I wouldnt mount this outdoors, though.

East installation and setup on the App. The picture quality is great and the hardware looks clean on the wall. Highly recommend.

has a wide view and really reliable to track the movements that want to be recorded. lets you turn it off on the app and has a speaker option where u can speak off the camera when youre away. if u wanna save all recordings you do have to subscribe to a google membership for it. but all my google cameras pay for 1 subscription so its pretty neat.
