||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.“Upgraded” my first gen Nest Doorbell I purchased in 2018 for the 2nd gen wired Google Nest doorbell in 2025. Pretty disappointed in my purchase. Picture quality is the same, likely even worse than my 2018 Nest model. Even with the proper settings, this one doesn’t record as much “non-events” as the 1st Nest one.

Posted .Thanks for reaching out about your Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen), JohnE. Sorry to hear you're having problems with picture quality on your doorbell — we understand this may be frustrating. Here are steps to make sure you’re getting the maximum quality:
1. Open the Home app.
2. Tap and hold your device's tile.
3. At the top right, tap Settings.
4. Choose Video.
5. Under “Video quality,” choose Max or High. High settings use less bandwidth. Max settings use more bandwidth.
