If your doorbell is detecting a lot of activities, adjusting the doorbell settings such as video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas can extend its battery life. Better version of the old

A range issue or wireless interference can affect the connectivity of your doorbell. Sometimes it may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected. Your camera may be out of range due to weak signal, and wireless interference can give you trouble connecting Nest products or other wireless devices. It can also cause slow network communications or intermittent disconnections. So your Nest products might continuously disconnect and reconnect, or they may be slow to respond to app control. Great device, downgrade from orignal nest hello

Posted .Hello there, SGPR! Thanks for the feedback. We’re glad that you find the Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen) great, and we hear your concern about the constant noise it makes.
The most common cause of constant ringing is miswiring the chime during installation. This usually happens with complex chimes that have 3 or more wires. Sometimes, these chimes are also connected to intercoms, gates that open and close, or other devices.
Also, “Phantom” ringing that happens at random times is typically due to fluctuations in the voltage sent to your chime. While small power spikes usually won’t cause the chime to sound, larger ones can. This might happen when your Nest doorbell switches to night vision. It may be helpful to turn off Night Vision in your Nest doorbell settings to temporarily prevent phantom ringing. You probably need to upgrade the transformer that's connected to the chime’s wires. Contact a local professional to have them check the voltage and install a new transformer.
