Great WIFI thermostat
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Nest thermostat (3rd generation) because I went through a lot of fuel oil last year, and National Grid was offering a $75 rebate. I have had it for 2 months now, and I love it. I can access it on my phone from anywhere, and it automatically adjusts based on how I previously adjusted it. So far, it has saved me a decent amount on my energy bill

Warranty is not very good
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Warranty Support from Google/Nest is very poor. Very difficult to get a simple warranty issue taken care of. I like the product, I own 6 of them but the support is poor and difficult. In my case the Nest Thermostat will not stay connected to the base plate due to a faulty design or parts in how it stay connected to the base plate. The Nest is kind of top heavy and the connection is at the bottom so when you press on it when needed for programming or changes it pops off the base plate. This is the first I have owned to do that. All I asked for when I talked to support is a replacement while it is still under warranty. I have 1 year left on the warranty and all I get is the run around from their support. I am not happy right now so it looks like I will just go buy another and return the one that does not work back to the store. It is a simple warranty issue. The last thing I want to do is install another one, I would just prefer to have it work like it suppose to.

Lots of features

Screen issue
