So far, we absolutely love our Nest. We're able to adjust the temperature via our Amazon echo dot, which is a neat novelty. Also, being able to turn down the heat from anywhere when we'll be away from the house for awhile unexpectedly is great for cost savings. It tracks the amount of time that the furnace is running, so you can see what your typical consumption is. We like it for sure, and can't wait to get another unit for the upstairs heating zone.

I am someone who often remembers they left their AC or Heat set at some high or low setting AFTER I have gotten to work and half the day has passed. The nest has been a perfect solution for this. In addition to having a schedule--which it built itself, more on that later--, the nest offers an "away mode" based on my phone's location, which will automatically turn my AC/heat off, unless the temperature falls outside of a range I have preset. I saw quite an improvement on my first months electric bill! As I mentioned earlier, there is a "learning" mode, that will build a schedule for me. I found this part to be "ok", but by no means a selling point for me. The schedule worked fine on some days, but the nest tried applying one schedule to multiple days which did not work. The result was I had to manually go in and edit a few days by hand, which took as much time as trying to set up the schedule on my own. The Nest App is very intuitive and easy to use. I find it much easier to work through then the nest itself (except when simply turning the dial on the nest to change the temperature). I appreciate having the weather forecast show up on the nest when I walk by, so I don't have to worry about getting my phone or computer out to check; it is even better that it automatically shows me the set temperature when I get even closer to the Nest. I purchased this on Sale, and am extremely satisfied so far; the price seems too high by $50 to $100, but I'm at the same time, I am able to justify it given the savings I will get (both money and environmental!).

The fact that it learns your schedule and adjusts accordingly is amazing. Saves you money in the long run. Also works really well in the app. Buttery smooth :)

This is a great product if you are looking to cut down on your electric bill and intelligent enough to know when you are home. I like this product because it understands my routine and when I'm away. It links to my cell phone and know my Home/Away routine and sets up the temperature accordingly. Good investment and starts to pay off well after 3 electric billing cycles!

I love nest and I love this product specifically! I used to keep the temperature at the same temperature no matter if I was away or at home because I didn’t want to come home to an apartment that was not at the temperature I like. Now I can change the temperature when I leave and then set it back to what I like on my way home from my phone so I can save money and still always come home to an apartment at just the temperature I like!

We bought two weeks ago, very easy to instal just follow the direction. Works great.

Only have had it for a month,but this thing is night and day compared to my old thermostat,so far no problems.I'd say you'd have to wait ayear probably before you can really see energy savings,to match against previous year.The things this device does are to numerous to mention.I will say if you can wait for a sale,I got mine week of black fri,plus got 2 different rebates from my local utilites,so that is one of the reasons I purchased.Well worth it.

This product looks nice, and that's the major feature. Easy to install, little difficult to configure because of the ring interface. One of the features of this item is self learning, but it doesn't work for you most of the time. It starts running when you actually don't want to, because you ran before at that time. It's annoying. I turned off that feature. I don't think it's useful. My major goal was to be able to control the thermostat via cell phone. You can find a lot of cheaper products for this goal. I didn't think the look was worth the price. It should be $100 cheaper at least.
