I've added several Nest products to my home including this thermostat. My main concern was whether I would be able to install myself. The online documentation was excellent and the box even included a screwdriver so no extra tools were needed. From start to finish it took me about 30 minutes. It has a user friendly interface and navigating the set up was a breeze. I love managing the system with the Nest app which enables you to adjust the temperature, set the heating or cooling mode, set your daily temperature schedules, remotely run the fan, view home humidity and review your past energy history. It also reminds me to check the furnace filter. My Nest smoke/CO2 detector synced with the thermostat so if any CO2 is detected, it will turn the furnace off. I like it so much I bought one for my daughter's house!

Easy installation- Easy operation - Easy on the eyes too. Works well even in an old house with an old system. Tells me how efficient I am and other info that will influence my thought process to save money and keep my home comfortable.

The thermostat was easy to install and is very convenient. If you are getting other products for a "Smart Home," I recommend buying all the same brand. I purchased a thermostat, cameras and carbon monoxide detector. The app and devices are all very user friendly. I used the backplate in one location and installed a second one in another location without the backplate. Be advised, the Nest video history is available for a 1-month trial. Following your trial period there is a monthly fee. If you prefer not to enroll you can only view real time video (no history).

We installed ourselves, it’s stylish and has many features. It’s terrific product and connects to internet easily so we can adjust temperature before returning home.

I like the simplistic look with lots of features. I like the ability to control it remotely and it has IFTTT incorporated into it so that triggers can be set to control it as well and it gives it the ability to control it with my Echo Dot.

This has worked wonders for me since I've had it. (About 3 months). You're fooling yourself if you don't buy this. The fact that it learns your environment says enough. Oh, and you can control it from your phone. It knows when you leave your home and sets it for "away" to save more energy. If I had 4 thumbs it give it a 4 thumbs up.

The nest is awesome. It is really easy to use and simple to program! I am able to turn down the heat when we are away and also warm it up as we are on our way home. Also- it's learning pattern is spot on after only a short time.

This is an excellent product. Installation is extremely easy and once it is setup there is not much else to do. I control the temperature with both my iPhone and iPad from anywhere. I also use my Amazon Echo. Couldn't be happier with it.

The nest thermostat is great! I like how we able to link the google nest to our alarm system. This is very useful. We would recommend it to anyone who is interested in buying. This also very user friendly.

Love this item, can change the thermostat settings and then it learns. It's really cool and looks much nicer than my old one. If you try to install yourself make sure you turn the unit off or you risk blowing a fuse that can cost $100

I have no electrical skills. I had questions about the installation on a holiday weekend. I did not expect to get any help. I called anyway. Customer service was not only available on a holiday weekend, BUT they even stayed on the phone with me for over 3 hours, walking me through the ENTIRE installation from out of the box to controlling my heater. The call went late and the agent stayed with me after hours. Answered all my questions without making me feel stupid. Followed up with safety points i didn't even consider. The NEST is great, very nice product. BUT the customer service is where this product shines. UNBEATABLE! You can buy other smart thermostats anywhere, but i bet they're not around on a holiday weekend on a Sunday after hours in the United States. Definitely recommend.

I love this product. My previous thermostat was complicated to program and this was super easy. I love being able to change the temperature in my house from anywhere. Works great with my home security as well. Excellent product.

This is a great thermostat that learned our preferences quickly. Installation was really easy according to my husband. Hopefully it will help us save on our utility bills.

We have moved houses, inheriting and installing a variety of thermostats in the last several years. After again researching options and talking to the technicians when we recently upgraded our A/C, we went with the Google Nest throughout our home. There are less expensive choices on the market, but for us Google Nest has proved to be the right option. We like both the clean design and easy user interface. We prefer to turn a dial to control the temperature than to use a touchscreen or buttons, etc.

Most people either love it and there are some who hate it. My experience has mostly been positive, but I docked it one star for the C-Wire stuff. I installed it as per the Video instructions and things went fine. I finally realized after a day that my Heating did not work anymore. My old Honeywell thermostat did not have a C wire connected, and I assumed my nest thermostat would not need it either. Unfortunately it did. Luckily for me the Blue C wire was available, just not connected. After connecting the Blue C wire, things have been fine, other than the Nest thermostat telling once in a while that there is a problem with my Furnace and that it shut down after 10 minutes. Looked up online and checked with few of my friends, its a common complaint from Nest thermostats. For the positives : An App, and the ability to control via voice assistants and remotely as well makes it well worth it.

Traded in a non working 2nd generation for the 3rd. Only had it a week,but so far works perfectly. Quickly learning our schedule and hasn't dropped the wifi even once. Huge improvement from our experience with the 2nd generation. Worth the extra $.

recently purchased a home with two HVAC units and had to purchase for the upstairs. works seemingly with the entire google nest system and easy to control.
