This is seriously the greatest thermostat ever, extremely easy to install (2 mins) nice face plate to cover larger thermostat holes in your walls, and soo easy to use, esp from your phone. You can control it from anywhere.

This is the fourth 3rd generation Nest that we have purchased (2 for our home and two as housewarming presents). Being able use our phone app to check our house temperature when we are away on vacation (we have pets), turn on/off the air conditioner/heater when we are too lazy to get up from bed, turning off/on the unit when we left the house for the day to save on electricity costs, hooking it up to our Google Home so we can just tell the system to turn on or adjust the temperture while cooking or watching a movie.... the NEST has been a great purchase that is well worth the cost. The units are usually $249 but we paid $199 during the Black Friday sale. On top of that, we qualified for a $50 rebate through our electricity company. My husband installed the units and said that it was super easy.

The thermostat works as intended. The learning feature takes time but it is worth it. One doesn't have to keep changing the temperature everyday.

Why’s not to like? (the price?) They’re sleek, it works with temperature sensors if you want. So it can make a room a specific temperature at a programed time.

So easy to install. The associated YouTube videos are very helpful too. They have thought about everything that can make your experience a memorable one, right form the time you open the box (... that small blue arrow where to peel the plastic off)

Works great, easy install and the sun block is a nice feature. I like the fact I can see the history and see how this is saving us already. Install was easy.

Once I figured out that the Nest needs a 24 V supply from the furnace, and got it installed, it has been great. I like the feature that enables me to control the run time via my smart phone. And ability to track how much time it ran each day is nice. Is it saving me money, probably not as much as I'd like, but it does seem to have a tighter temperature control band than my old programmable thermostat.

I love the Nest…. Easy setup.. change the temperature from anywhere… the red and blue controls light up to show whether heating or cooling is taking place.

I never thought I needed a internet-connected thermostat but this smart device has really changed my life for the better! It was super easy to install. I did have to send a photo of my current wiring diagram to tech support and within minutes they sent me exactly what I needed to correctly hook up my existing wires to my new Nest Thermostat. Also the geofencing works perfectly! When I leave my house it automatically puts my thermostat in eco mode saving me money and as I approach my house the thermostat will turn back on and resume heating or cooling my house to my desired temperature. I would definitely recommend this Nest thermostat and even my Nest Protect to any interested tech savvy home buyer both products were very easy to install and really are a great way to enhance your everyday home living experiences.

The Nest thermostat was a very simple install. The instructions made it simple and clear on how to handle the installation. Syncing the system up to my home network was simple as well. It is nice to be able to control the thermostat from the Nest App. I knocked off a star for the price. Yes, the system is clean and functions very well, but in the end it was still a bit hard to make an easy purchase out of it.

Love it; had it for four days and it has already "learned" some of our habits. Has a lot of neat features. It's nice that you can control the thermostat using your app if needed.

The nest is easy to install as long as you mark your wires. Learns quickly and I love the remote feature (being able to change the temp while on the way home or just being lazy and not having to go upstairs to change the thermostat)

Took a bit longer to install than I anticipated, but was entirely my fault. Didn't take the two seconds to look at the different wiring setup for my unit that has a heat pump. Once properly installed, the Nest looks and performs great.

We installed ourselves, it’s stylish and has many features. It’s terrific product and connects to internet easily so we can adjust temperature before returning home.

Excellent product, easy to install, you can see the savings from the first week.

I’m pretty impressed with how easy this was to install AND how easy it is to control from your smartphone. It truly learns the temperatures. Our bill has already went down within the first 60 days of installation.

We have moved houses, inheriting and installing a variety of thermostats in the last several years. After again researching options and talking to the technicians when we recently upgraded our A/C, we went with the Google Nest throughout our home. There are less expensive choices on the market, but for us Google Nest has proved to be the right option. We like both the clean design and easy user interface. We prefer to turn a dial to control the temperature than to use a touchscreen or buttons, etc.

I've added several Nest products to my home including this thermostat. My main concern was whether I would be able to install myself. The online documentation was excellent and the box even included a screwdriver so no extra tools were needed. From start to finish it took me about 30 minutes. It has a user friendly interface and navigating the set up was a breeze. I love managing the system with the Nest app which enables you to adjust the temperature, set the heating or cooling mode, set your daily temperature schedules, remotely run the fan, view home humidity and review your past energy history. It also reminds me to check the furnace filter. My Nest smoke/CO2 detector synced with the thermostat so if any CO2 is detected, it will turn the furnace off. I like it so much I bought one for my daughter's house!

Easy installation- Easy operation - Easy on the eyes too. Works well even in an old house with an old system. Tells me how efficient I am and other info that will influence my thought process to save money and keep my home comfortable.
